This heavenly spot is set on the Cornish side of the Tamar in the peaceful village of Cargreen with glorious views from every room across the water to the rolling fields of Devon. St Mellion Golf & Country Club is a few minutes drive, further on are sandy beaches and excellent restaurants, with the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the historic City of Plymouth, several National Trust properties and much more, all within easy reach of this idyllic haven.

This has to be one of the best rentals we've experienced (and we've had quite a few over the years!) with good communication with THC over the booking and then the holiday itself. It was lovely to arrive and be able to brew a cup of tea immediately after a very long journey and we also appreciated the supply of hand soap, toilet rolls and basic tin foil, salt & pepper etc. Very happy to "pay it forward" and simply replace what we had used ready for the next guests. Even with poor weather, we enjoyed fabulous views, peaceful location and as I was cooking for 7 adults, I really appreciated the quality, variety and quantity of the kitchen equipment - it had everything we needed for all our meals. Furnishings are high quality, comfortable and the whole accommodation was spotlessly clean. We did travel to one or two attractions; Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and Jamaica Inn, all of which we enjoyed. Hopefully we will return to take in a few more in the future. We were made to feel very welcome; my elderly mum had a great time, celebrating her 80th birthday with the family. Thank you Sandy!
Great views on the river passing by, out lay of the cottage was excellent, every essential item of equipment was in place, 2 bottles of wine on arrival were very much appreciated, very nice thought by Sandy to ask how our stay was going.
We have just returned back from a wonderful week spent at the Boathouse in Cargreen and this is by far the best holiday cottage that we have ever stayed at. It is extremely difficult to decide what was the best feature of this particular accommodation, the cottage itself or the spectacular views of the river as both were just so perfect. Out of all of the cottages that we have stayed over the years in the UK this is the only one that we all looked forward to going back to at the end of the day as it felt so much like a home. Despite the fact that the nearest shop and pub were over 3 miles away this did not detract from the total enjoyment of staying in this tranquil location. What a gem!
Very friendly helpful staff in both your Cornwall and Devon offices.
Already passed details of the Boathouse to 2 other families. Looking forward to our holiday in June with Toad Hall Cottages!
The best views we have ever had in a holiday cottage.
I was supposed to pay a deposit to the owner of Cargreen boathouse, but only got an adress. I didn´t pay any deposit since it´s not considerd safe to send cash by mail. You should consider a system where you pay a deposit to Toad hall insted.

Many thanks for your feedback. We do have a system in place for a number of our properties whereby the security deposit is taken by Toad Hall Cottages; however in this instance, the owner has specifically asked to be in charge of the payments. I hope you managed to enjoy your holiday at this beautiful property nonetheless!
