Situated in a fantastic location overlooking Lyme Bay with stunning views of the Harbour, Portland Bill and Lyme Bay.  The Lodge is a genuine Norwegian log cabin, spacious throughout with a large open plan living area and French doors opening onto a wooden veranda where you can relax and absorb the stunning view. The Lodge really is a perfect property in which to enjoy a family holiday or getaway with friends. The open plan living area lends itself perfectly for entertaining a large group and is ideal for spending time together.  The cabin also benefits from a woodburner which will give the cabin a warm and comfortable atmosphere in the cooler parts of the season.  The Lodge is an individual Norwegian cabin, in a unique position, and does not form part of an arranged park location.

Within a ten minute walk, guests can meander down to Lyme Regis bustling sea front and promenade. Often referred to as the ‘Pearl of Dorset’, Lyme Regis is well known for its literary association with Jane Austen as well as its diverse geology which people from across the world flock to in the hunt for fossils. The historic old town retains an olde worlde charm with small streets filled with galleries, boutique shops and famed gastro restaurants and cafés.  Its sheltered south facing beaches are safe for children and water sports enthusiasts alike with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour.  For those who would like a change of scene and a day away from the beach, the surrounding rolling countryside, which is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasts walking and cycling in abundance or perhaps while away a few days exploring pretty East Devon fishing villages such as Beer and Branscombe or head to the market town of Axminster to sample Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen.

Steps to veranda and front door.  Hallway leads to open plan living area with kitchen, incorporating dishwasher, electric range oven with gas hob and microwave. Dining area with table seating eight guests, comfortable sofas, 42″ flat screen TV, woodburner and sea views.  The lounge has two sets of French doors which can be opened to allow access on to the veranda.  Utility room with fridge freezer and washing machine.  Bedroom 1 with 4ft 6inch double bed and and en-suite shower room and sea views.  Bedroom 2 with 4ft 6inch double bed and sea views.  Bedroom 3 with full size bunk beds as well as a single bed which has a pull-out truckle suitable for children and young adults. Family bathroom with shower over corner bath, WC, washbasin and heated towel rails.  The Lodge is an individual Norwegian log cabin, it is not on an organised park with other log cabins.

October 2018

a great place to stay we think the views are understated in the property description as it was a large part of why we chose it, we liked the open plan kitchen, lounge, diner area, we didn't get to enjoy the balcony as the weather was poor but we did get one morning where we could sit out for a while the property was clean and tidy and full of character with all the wood which gave it a warm feel, Millie our west highland enjoyed the free dog treats, thoroughly recommended T and V and millie

September 2018

Absolutely. It was fantastic. The house has a brilliant location and the trampoline, occasional hawk and rabbits in the garden were a real bonus too. A fantastic holiday in Lyme Regis! :)

August 2018

A great week in Lyme Regis enjoyed by all.

August 2018

This was the perfect place for us, we all enjoyed it from the 4 year old to us in our fifties! We would definitely use again for large family holiday.

June 2018

Sadly my daughter and I had to come back due to a horse problem for part of the week, however the remainder of the family stayed and we all absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend. All excellent and easier side access would be fantastic.
