The Stumbles is located on a quiet lane in the heart of Salcombe, yet only a stone’s throw from the lively Fore Street which offers a vast array of quality delicatessens, pubs, restaurants and shops. It is moments away from the bakery and the very popular Captain Flint’s restaurant.

Famous for its vibrant atmosphere, numerous water activities and outstanding coastal walks Salcombe has built a reputation as a must visit location in any season of the year. With a number of stunning beaches within walking distance (and via the passenger ferry) you could easily spend your entire holiday at the Stumbles without needing to use the car.

This spacious and charming eighteenth Century cottage has been completely refurbished and is the perfect getaway spot for families or groups. It has a well thought layout across four floors which mean guests can fully enjoy the estuary views from the light and spacious living room on the top floor and the large kitchen/diner provides an excellent entertaining space for family get-togethers.

The property is made up of the main part of the house which has four bedrooms and a separate self-contained studio flat (“Stumbledown”) on the ground floor. Stumbledown is accessed from The Stumbles by an internal door. From parking area at the back of the house is the entrance to first floor hall. The beautifully tiled hall (with under floor heating) leads to the kitchen/diner with electric oven, gas hobs, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, wine chiller, espresso machine, table to seat 10, fireplace. Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Bunk and single bedroom with three 3ft beds. A newly refurbished bathroom with roll top bath, basin, WC and underfloor heating and a newly refurbished shower room with large shower, basin and WC and underfloor heating.  The hall also leads to the beautifully tiled ground floor entrance hall and front door. Stairs to second floor with shower room with shower, basin and WC. Double bedroom with four poster 5ft bed and access to roof terrace. Double Bedroom with 4ft 6 bed. Stairs to third floor living room with estuary views, 3 sofas, table to seat 4, TV/DVD, box of games and puzzles, kitchenette area with kettle, sink and drinks fridge.

Access to the self-contained studio (Stumbledown) is from the ground floor with a beautifully tiled hall (with under floor heating) leading to living area with wood floor, sofa, TV/DVD; kitchen area with electric oven, gas hobs, fridge/freezer; dining area with table to seat 4, cupboard with hanging space; and bedroom area with 5ft double bed, built in wardrobe. The bathroom is off the hall and is newly refurbished with a large shower, wash basin, WC and under floor heating.
