Description

The Warren is a superbly situated detached family home, two minutes’ walk from the beach in the seaside village of Beesands. This lovely property has views out over the sea from much of the rooms and a balcony to relax in the evenings whilst taking in the views. For those who love to explore the area in the cooler times of year there’s a log burner to cosy up around at the end of the day. The kitchen diner is a good size, with a range cooker, making this a great place for a Christmas gathering or a special occasion. The village green sits between the property and the beach in case the children need more than the lawns to run around on. This comfortable, attractive house is sure to be a popular one.

Beesands is a charming fishing village situated in spectacular Start Bay. With a mile of shingle beach, a great local pub and restaurant serving a varied menu and locally caught fish, a popular fish shack and café, a children’s play park and village green, a freshwater lake, bird sanctuary and area of natural interest, all surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and situated right on the South West Coast path, there’s plenty for everyone to do. The bustling market town of Kingsbridge has a good selection of shops and restaurants twenty minutes away, as does the historic naval town of Dartmouth which is also worth a visit, and popular Salcombe can be accessed by road or the foot ferry from East Portlemouth This is a truly idyllic place to enjoy a seaside holiday, and if that’s not enough, then there are many other attractions in the area for all to enjoy.

To the front, level lawn area, to the rear, steps up to gently sloping lawn. Summer house/games room with TV and Xbox and one two-seater and one three seater sofa, table and chairs for 8, BBQ and terrace area. At the top of the garden 2 seats with inbuilt table to admire the view out to sea.

Well set up for children and extremely safe for them. We come down from Ashprington, Totnes for the beach, Brittania, Cricket and walking as it is an unspoilt gem in the South Hams.

We did enjoy our holiday - Beesands is a hidden gem and the location of the house was perfect.

The property was lovely and in a fantastic location with wonderful views. The garden would benefit from some garden furniture as the twin seat at the top of the garden was unfit to sit on, and the garden generally could do with some tidying as it had become overgrown around the steps and summerhouse. These points are purely observations which would help future guests but did not detract from the overall holiday. Would thoroughly recommend The Warren.
