The cottage was so well kitted out and comfortable. The few basics in the kitchen cupboards were a huge help (haven't come across that before!) Just brilliant hope to return.
It was perfect and in a perfect location, we particularly enjoyed the addition of an enclosed garden which is a rarity in Fowey.
We enjoyed our stay, only difficulty being using the steps to access the property.
We had a great stay! We had some torrential rain on arrival Fri/Sat. After our day out on the Sat - the cottage roof in the kitchen started to leak on to the units and travelled along the window wall into the room tracking along where the ceiling lights were! After a phone call to HQ, we had a visit from the caretaker and a builder to assess the damage, very efficient service. The only thing we couldn’t use was the ceiling lights, until the builder came back on the Mon. This didn’t spoil our holiday - on leaving the cottage we did notice first thing in the morning a musty smell behind the crockery drawer. ????
Too much fussiness eg plastic flowers, artificial candles?half dead house plants, family photos etc
We had a really enjoyable stay. The house is spacious and comfortable and very well equipped. It took us a while to work out the heating and although it was sunny it was quite cold on the main floor of the house - upstairs is very warm indeed, but we eventually got some heating on by Tuesday. The beds are really comfortable and we really appreciated the owner investing in feather-free bedding - we had taken our own as we were told this wouldn't happen, so that was very kind. We really appreciated the cream tea, the biscuits, the wine and the milk - lots of tea and coffee and food items - we weren't quite sure if we were supposed to use these as we haven't found as much in previous holiday rentals - so we just used our own. Also lots of toiletries in the bathrooms, very generous, although again, we had taken our own. We managed to get free parking and didn't use the car for the whole week - we enjoyed fabulous walks in several directions, using local ferries, also a great boat trip out to Lostwithiel. The house has lots of information on walks etc. We had very nice meals - King of Prussia and Sams were the best. We objected to the price of crab sandwiches - £9.50 everywhere!! We bought one which was very sparsely filled - and then found we could buy dressed crab at Kittows and did much better with packed lunches! The local shops are good, shorts had to be purchased as the weather was better than expected. All in all, a fantastic week, many thanks.
Was a brilliant holiday - such a fab location.
We all agreed this is an amazing house. Thanks for letting us stay.
Fabulous stay. We had not been to Fowey before, but loved it and will return next year.

Yes we did even the bad weather did not spoil our enjoyment as the view was spectacular. This is the second time in 2 years we have used your cottages and would not hesitate to use you again!
This is a lovely three bedroomed house, with a lovely 360 degree garden and amazing views over Fowey estuary. Everything about the property is top class, both the space and decor and all of the little extras and our host Kate was very helpful at all times. This may be the best holiday rental we have ever experienced.
Topsides is an outstanding property in an excellent location. It is superbly equipped with lots of extra touches which elevate it above most holiday rental properties.
Beautiful house with spectacular views and lots of welcoming touches. We are already planning our next visit!
