Wagtails,  a spacious detached holiday home, is situated in Thurlestone, a short walk from the village centre, superb gastro-pub and glorious sandy beaches. The exterior belies the fresh modern comfort of the interior, this is a superb pet-friendly property furnished to a high standard with the added benefit of a fully enclosed garden, ample parking and superb sea views. From most rooms and the patio there are sea views across to Bolt Tail headland and Thurlestone bay.

Steps down to front door. Ground floor:  Spacious sitting room, log burner, two sofas. Two steps lead down from the lounge to the dining/ sunroom with large picture windows and fabulous sea views, sofa and smart TV, DVD and MP3/iPod player. Dining area with dining table to seat six. Patio doors to the decked balcony and steps leading down to lawn. Kitchen with pass through to dining area, electric cooker with grill and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher. Utility room with washer dryer. Bedroom 1, twin 3ft single beds, built in wardrobe and chest of drawers. Shower room with walk in shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail. First Floor: Bedroom 2, king size 5ft bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, sea view. Bedroom 3 with twin 3ft single beds, built in wardrobe and dressing table, sea view. Family bathroom with bath and electric shower over, basin and WC.

Decked patio area with garden furniture and charcoal barbecue, rotary washing line. Steps lead down to mature lawned garden, planted with shrubs, enclosed by hedges and a wall. Garden partialy enclosed for dogs.

Space for 2-3 cars on two sloping driveways.

Yes very nice property and location fantastic views good garden for our dog only hiccup was the cleaners were told it was a 4 o” clock change over and we were told 3 o”clock so property was not ready till 4

We had a very enjoyable holiday and all agreed that we would return to Wagtails in future.

We had expected one bag of logs and there were none and the fire place was full of ashes. Fortunately a fire was not required. The views from the lounge windows are magnificent. All very comfortable. Parking was also good.

Sorry you were confused over logs being provided, theses are advertised as being available in Winter; as it was early June when you stayed they wouldn't have been provided. We really did love the house and views but would have liked access to the patio tables and chairs which were tied up. The garden should be checked as there was dog mess on the top lawn which we had to clear up.

Many thanks for your valued feedback, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay despite not using the patio furniture. Of late with the dreadful weather we have suffered, we had taken the measure to simply tie garden furniture together so as not to be damaged in the gales, easily released by guests or a swift call to our caretaker who is always pleased to assist. Great views from the whole of the rear of the property. Good walks and village easy to reach with a welcoming pub. The position makes sleep very pleasant as there is no background noise. Fleece blankets on the sofas are a really good idea. The beds are very comfortable and 2 toilets is a definite positive. The local beach was amazing and I can only imagine it would be perfect in the summer. A great experience.

We had a super two weeks. The weather was brilliant which undoubtedly helped, but the stunning views, amazing beaches within walking distance, and extremely comfortable house all added up to a lovely break. The notes and maps within the property folder were also very helpful, and we spoke to a few nice neighbours too who offered other interesting and useful information.

The patio door needs some attention as it sticks and is hard to open/close. Two chairs in each bedroom would be great as would a long mirror somewhere. But otherwise, it was super.
