Steps give direct access to the sandy beach at the bottom of the garden, and a mooring means guests can bring or hire a boat and make the most of this marvellous location using the water to access Kingsbridge and Salcombe, or during high tide to enjoy a meal at the Millbrook Inn at South Pool. East Portlemouth sits opposite the popular town of Salcombe which is easily accessed from this stunning property via the passenger ferry 200 yards away. The village itself has a café and some fabulous sandy beaches along with direct access to the South West Coast Path. A very scenic two mile walk takes you to The Gara Rock Hotel, serving delicious food with some of the best scenery a restaurant could provide. The bustling market town of Kingsbridge is a thirty minute drive away, with shops, pubs, eateries and a cinema and in the other direction along the picturesque coastal road is the historic Naval town of Dartmouth, again well serviced with amenities. This popular location along with this fantastic property have all the ingredients for an idyllic holiday come rain or shine.

Master bedroom Superking bed, double aspect views over the estuary to Salcombe, TV, en suite bathroom basin, shower cubicle, bath, WC. Childrens bedroom childs’ bunk beds and a 3ft single. Bedroom 3 5ft double, views over the estuary and Salcombe, Ipod dock. Family bathroom, basin, shower cubicle, bath, WC and bidet. Bedroom 4 5ft double.

Selection of shops, cafes and restaurants in Salcombe via the ferry or water taxi.

Our stay was lovely. If I had to find something to niggle about it was that somebody strolled into the garden one day with a strimmer which would have been very noisy for us out enjoying the garden so I asked him not to do it. Later in the week a gardener arrived and spent a couple of hours pruning shrubs etc with a hedgetrimmer. I realise the garden needs to be tended but would have thought it could have been done during changeover day or if not I would liked to have been informed that someone was going to be on the property.
