Surrounded by approximately two acres of land, on the outskirts of the enchanting village of Burley, is White Copse, an attractive four bedroom bungalow.  The property has been tastefully finished to provide a deceptively large, completely private holiday home sleeping up to 8 guests including one en suite and two further shower rooms. The stunning extension, creates a  spacious open plan kitchen/diner/family room, overlooking the secluded grounds, perfect for a family gathering. The large entrance hall has a pool table, wood burning stove and bi-folding doors on to the patio.  The dual aspect, sunny sitting room with wood burning stove also overlooks the beautiful grounds.  This property with ground floor accommodation is an ideal base suitable for generations of a family or friends wanting to holiday together in the heart of the New Forest. With a pool tabletable tennis table in the garage and spacious garden, children (and adults!) will have plenty to enjoy during their stay.  

The cottage is a 15 minute walk to Burley village centre with pubs, quaint shops and cafes. The market town of Ringwood is just 6 miles away with many shops, supermarkets and eateries. Brockenhurst with mainline train station and Lymington are both popular places to visit as are local beaches along the south coast.

Direct forest access is just a short walk away where ponies, cattle and donkeys can often be found wandering up and down the country lane outside the grounds. The village of Burley is surrounded by many cycle routes. Forest Leisure Cycle Hire, located in the centre of Burley, is a great location from which to hire bikes in order to explore the local area in a green and fun way.

The property is set in approximately two acres of stunning, private, secluded grounds, mainly laid to lawn, with plenty of trees and shrubs adding colour and space for outdoor activity. Please be aware that there is a pond in the garden and children should be supervised.  The patio decked with garden furniture is the perfect place for relaxing with a glass of wine or al fresco dining whilst the children play and explore in the garden. There is a barbecue available for guests to use.

We have stayed in a wide range of properties with our young family (5 kids aged 3 to 9) and we can honestly say this was the best. It was more like a home than a holiday rental and is really kitted out well. The cherry on the cake is the garden/location which is absolutely stunning. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous stay at White Copse and can highly recommend it! The house is very spacious with a beautiful designed kitchen/diner/living area. Kitchen was very well equipped. The garden is fantastic (and huge). All was spotless clean on our arrival and the welcome pack was a nice extra. Hope to return in future!

Yes, all six of us enjoyed the space but also the coziness of White Copse. Grab handles and anti slip mats would improve showers, especially for elderly staying.

We did enjoy our stay, and the gentleman who owns the property was very efficient in dealing with the problem with the foul smell from the drains and the central heating boiler not working. However, these problems seem to have been ongoing and the property was suffering maintenance problems e.g. gutters overflowing noisy at night, loose toilet seat that I did fix to make it safe for children, toilets not properly clean, etc.

The cleanliness issues you encountered are unusual for this property and the owners are sorry you did not contact them so that the cleaners may have re-visited the property to rectify these issues for you. We had a wonderful week at White Copse. The house was really luxurious and has the wow factor with everything you could possibly need catered for. The furnishings were all top quality and the huge kitchen/diner/living room was such a lovely room to have family meals and relax in. The enormous garden was just beautiful and was so peaceful. We were very lucky with the weather and so the kids spent a lot of time playing in it. The kids also loved the pool table and table tennis/table football. The surrounding area was beautiful and we went for some great cycle rides and walks. Burley is a lovely village with a couple of nice pubs and an excellent tea room/coffee shop. We would not hesitate to recommend this place and we would love to return one day.

There was an excellent range of equipment, from the kitchen to games to chairs for outside use. My only query is about the absence of a cot (travelling or otherwise) and of a high chair, especially since the website had emphasised that children of all ages were welcome. They are large items to fit into visitors' cars, but given the space in the property, could easily be provided, I would think. This explains my "above average" assessment in the chart above, rather than excellent. We had no occasion to contact the pwner nor caretaker, so I have not altered the average rating

We had a lovely stay in White Copse for my husband's 40th birthday, along with six others from his family, spanning an age range from 1 to 69. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very well-equipped. We all felt at home straight away. The pool table and various other games in the garage (table tennis, darts, American football) were great, as was the large garden. Also an excellent set of DVDs and WiFi. There is a huge kitchen / dining area / lounge for a large group and also a cosy sitting room with TV and piano for a smaller group, which is an ideal combination. What stood out most for us was that this is a cottage that has been furnished and equipped to be lived in on a long-term basis, not just for a week's holiday, so it has everything you could need, all to a high quality (plates, cutlery etc are all as good and as plentiful as we have at home), We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family, and really hope to return again soon!

One or two very minor quibbles - eg no-one under 70 could use the only vegetable peeler - but this was a lovely, spacious property and we enjoyed our stay enormously.

We all loved the property and enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very well equipped, comfortable and roomy. With three bathrooms, a capacious kitchen, huge living/sitting area and an extra lounge, it more than catered for all our needs. We especially enjoyed the cosiness of a log fire in the cool evenings, sitting together in the small lounge. Without any doubt, we will recommend the property to our friends and relatives.
