White Oxen Manor is an ancient listed Devon Longhouse standing in its own grounds, with three delightful cottages converted from a 17th Century barn situated in the courtyard. The light and airy cottages retain many original features including owl slit windows and exposed beams and offer very comfortable and spacious accommodation personally maintained by the owners. They are set within a sheltered valley on the southern boundaries of Dartmoor National Park surrounded by fields and woodland. They are ideally situated for visiting the moors, the lovely South Hams area, the ancient towns of Dartmouth and Totnes, nearby Dartington Hall and Devon’s wonderful coastline and beaches. The nearby tiny village of Rattery has one of the earliest pubs in the country dating from 1028. Guests are welcome to enjoy the land around the cottages.
Owl Cottage is a must as a romantic hideaway, Corner Cottage is spacious and ideal for a family and The Roundhouse features an unusual, very roomy and attractive living room, excellent for extended families. All the cottages are fully centrally heated, so ideal for winter breaks.

lovely cottage. Great hosts. made welcome great cottage for dogs. Milk in fridge on arrival plus home made scones and cream tea.
Very much, see comments above. One very big advantage is being allowed to take 2 large breed dogs, many cottages in the area don't allow dogs or sometimes 1 small dog. Plenty of space to exercise our dogs.
We enjoyed our stay at the corner cottage; the owners are pleasant and helpful and the cottage is in a nice area of Devon, being so close to A38 it is in an ideal location for all of the south hams and Dartmoor areas.
Philip and Margret were very nice hosts and made our short stay wonderful!!
Great holiday despite some wet weather. Probably our 6th year here and cannot wait to go back again probably next year. Lovely welcome by Philip and Margaret Andrade. Booking system through Toad Hall Cottages is very straight forward.
We are delighted you have enjoyed another holiday at Corner Cottage and look forward to welcoming you back again next year. Best wishes, The Toad Hall Team.

Lovely spot and really convenient for access to the A38 and hence Plymouth, Exeter, The Moors and the South Hams. The cottage was comfortable, quiet and clean and reasonably well equipped. Some minor comments a) the television is far too small for the space (I've never seen such a small one!) b) wi fi was almost impossible to use, I gave up trying to use the BBC Radio iPlayer c) some of the furniture is looking a bit long in the tooth and could perhaps do with a refresh But really these are minor quibbles which didn't detract from a really great week in Devon. The owners are really nice people who just let you get on with it and don't interfere but are on hand should you need anything.
We are very pleased you enjoyed your holiday at Corner Cottage. Your observations have been passed to the owner for their consideration. We hope to welcome to you back to Corner Cottage and indeed Devon soon.

Lovely clean comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. Philip and Margaret (and Rosie the dog) made us feel very welcome and the scones, jam and cream waiting for us was a lovely touch. Would love to return soon to this beautiful part of the world.
Very helpful ownrs, the accomadation was very clean and well maintained I would definitely return to this property.
Another excellent stay at White Oxen Manor - our 7th or 8th visit. during which time we have stayed in all 3 cottages. They are all of exceptional quality, very comfortable with kitchens in all the cottages extremely well equipped. The owners are a delightful couple, always ready to help with nothing being too much trouble for them. .
Spotlessly clean, lovely cottage with friendly owners. This is the first holiday we've had that I haven't wanted to end! We will definitely come again.
Love staying at White Oxen Manor as the owners always give us a very warm welcome. Been going for a few years now and it feels very comfortable and home from home.
We have stayed at all 3 cottages on numerous occasions. They are all extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owners are delightful, always there if needed but not at all intrusive.
We have used this cottage numerous times now which we find admirable for our purpose. It is quiet and yet very near to main road for easy access. Mr and Mrs Andrade are delightful owners who we see frequently during our stay. The site is well placed for access to many Devon highlights and overall provides an excellent means of unwinding.
A delightful place to stay with very affable owners who were always happy to help or just have a chat/advise on local things.
