Polperro Festival 16th – 24th June

With its roots in ancient solstice ceremonies, the Polperro Festival is once again set to showcase some of the West Country’s most impressive artistic talent.

Set in one of Cornwall’s most picturesque fishing villages, the festival embraces a colourful assemblage of performers and entertainers; from traditional pageantry and merriment on the village green to hotly anticipated music nights, it’s a week in June where Polperro’s narrow, winding streets are a hive of excitement.

Polperro prides itself on its friendliness and the festival is an opportunity to attract newcomers to this vibrant seaside community.

This year’s music schedule is looking like a real humdinger, a smorgasbord of styles from footloose funk to thrash metal rock – with relentless gigs and stages on every corner you won’t be able to escape the Polperro Festival spirit.

Rock group Dobermann are all set to steal the show at this year’s Polperro Festival having already toured much of Europe with their snarling blend of thrash metal

What’s the word on the street…

We have just returned from spending the weekend at the festival, absolutely fantastic! The opening procession is not to be missed, fantastic live bands all weekend both on the green and in the pubs, brilliant atmosphere, cannot wait to return next year!     Denise (Facebook)

I cannot ever imagine not going, it’s an amazing week; getting to know all the locals and fellow repeat visitors really well, made some great friends, such a beautiful place to be, feel so relaxed and at home there   Gillian (Facebook)

Joanna Cooke is all set to bring her soulful vibe to this year’s festival, fresh off the back of her debut EP ‘Remember Me’
