It’s three days of moreish cuisine and delicious melody-making in one of the South Hams’ prettiest market towns.

Another exciting line-up of musical artists are preparing to descend upon the town square for Kingsbridge’s annual food and music festival…

Friday’s musical maestros include funk band The Mocktails, 8-piece alternative reggae group Backbeat Soundsystem, and rhythm ‘n’ blues-fuelled quartet True Strays.

On Saturday, the bandstand welcomes Phil & Mahrey Bertoud’s Kingsbridge Buskers, singer-songwriter Chris Ostler, and indie folk-rock outfit Huw Eddy & The Carnival.

Sunday’s line-up includes The Salcombe Gospel Choir and the multi-talented Rodney Branigan who will help play out the festival.

Expect to be tempted by the colourful avenue of sizzling food stalls and quenched by local pop-up bars.

The festival champions sustainability, and its food and drink providers have committed to using compostable packaging.  To create less waste, the festival is trialling compostable pint glasses, which will be taken to be composted at a local farm, returning the goodness to the soil.

Throughout the weekend the Kids Zone will be running a range of activities and taster sessions, anything from bushcraft to face painting.

Come join the merry gathering on the water’s edge and party long into the night at this year’s Kingsbridge Food & Music Festival.
