14 Beesands is a characterful, spacious cottage enjoying a prime position on Beesands sea front. The cottage has been transformed from a 300 year old stone built pub into a quaint and comfortable holiday home, furnished in a traditional style and retaining many of the period features such as exposed beams, large fireplaces with wood burners and slate floors. It also benefits from plenty of space for up to 6 people, with a large sitting room, separate dining room and rear courtyard. The village of Beesands boasts a welcoming pub and a cafe with seafood shop stocking freshly caught local seafood. It is also the perfect location to explore the stunning South West Coast Path and the many diverse attractions to be found in the beautiful South Hams.

Please Note: There is a detached one bedroom stone building in the rear courtyard that is sometimes used by the owners on weekends during the season. However, the owners totally respect their guests' privacy, but could be on hand if you require any help or advice during your stay.

Hallway leading to large sitting room with 3 sofas surrounding a wood burner, freesat TV and DVD.  Off hall, dining room to seat 6. Farmhouse kitchen equipped with electric cooker, hob, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. Large ground floor bathroom with roll-top bath, separate shower, hand basin and WC. Cottage stairs with low ceiling to first floor. Master bedroom 1 with 5ft bed and sea views. Single bedroom2 with 3ft single. Triple bedroom 3 with twin 3ft beds and 3ft day bed.

Patio accessed from kitchen area and furnished with garden table and chairs.

Parking available on the seafront.

  • Included: Bed linen, (towels can be hired by arrangement with the caretaker or guests must provide their own towels), electricity, oil fired central heating, Wi-Fi, travel cot. Initial basket of logs in winter.
  • No telephone. Mobile reception moderate.
  • Pets: Two well behaved dogs welcome. Pet charge £25.00 per pet per week.
  • Local Facilities: Beach (dog friendly all year), pub and shop, Britannia Seafood, all in village. Farm shop at Stokenham 2.5 miles. Torcross with pub and village shop 3 miles. Ashby Superstore with petrol, well stocked shop and leisure store 4 miles. Kingsbridge with all facilities 7 miles. Dartmouth 11 miles.

Our third visit to this lovely property and we've booked our next visit already. Excellent location.

We had a very happy time in beautiful Beesands and were fortunate with the weather. The property is comfortable and the private, attractive garden, a real bonus. Some of the furnishings and equipment, especially the washer, does not quite match the expected standard associated with the high season rental. Maybe time for review. The television was faulty and, though response to our request was very obliging, was not able to be resolved until the Thursday. There was still no signal in the bedroom T.V. which we mentioned to the owner who was by then staying in the out house and apologised for the inconvenience. Overall, however, a very comfortable and characterful property which holds some lovely memories of another family holiday at Beesands.

This a lovely homely property. Basic accommodation but spotlessly clean. This cottage is in the perfect spot for a fabulous beach holiday with your dog. My family and I love this property and will try and return again later in the year. Try the Cricket Inn for quality food and drinks - you can even take the dog! I am giving this property 4 stars because of the proximity of the beach (just yards away!)
