Not far from the Cornish border with Devon, a holiday cottage in Cawsand is an ideal hideaway for anyone who loves views of the sea, walks on the beach and generous servings of clotted cream teas. It exudes traditional coastal charm. In years gone by, Cawsand was in Devon and Kingsand was in Cornwall, but these days they&#39;re happily reunited under the Cornish flag.</p> <p>More or less on the doorstep of our Cawsand holiday homes is a long stretch of shingle-peppered sand that&#39;s perfect for picnics and swimmers brave enough to dip in a toe. Rockpoolers will be delighted with the many inlets, harbouring tiny anemones and interesting shells. More beach action can be found at nearby Whitsand Bay, where there is plenty of room on its vast sandy beaches and windswept cliff walks, even at the height of the holiday season in August.
