This charming Victorian terraced villa, one of four, not only commands really gorgeous views of the Avon estuary, the open sea and Burgh Island but also provides exceptionally good, most comfortable, fresh and bright contemporary accommodation set in a superb location. The cottage is within walking distance of one of the finest beaches in the South West, renowned for its fine sandy stretches that are ideal for families, but also an adventure playground for surfers and watersports enthusiasts. Walkers will revel in the marvellous coastal path walks, and there is a good pub just down the road to quench your thirst after a brisk walk or energetic day on the beach! All with the pleasure of knowing that the attractive comfort of No. 2 is waiting to envelop you at the end of your day.

The dining area has a large table to seat 8 and there is a large fitted cupboard housing a washing machine and tumble dryer. The very smart well fitted and equipped kitchen has wood block worktops, electric hob and built-under oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Front hallway with porch and access to the front garden. Stairs to the first landing. Spacious, lovely double bedroom with fitted cupboards and 5ft bed from which the enviable views can be enjoyed. A twin bedroom has 3ft beds, fitted cupboard and decorative Victorian fireplace. Smart family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin in vanity unit and WC. Door to further stairs to the top floor and an attractive open plan bedroom with dual aspect velux windows, fitted cupboards and vanity unit, twin 3ft beds, one with same size pull-out bed beneath.

Steps lead down from here to the rear entrance. Enclosed area with a washing line. At the front of the villa a level area of lawn is provided with bench, garden table and chairs. Gates on each side of the garden on this level provide shared access across the row of four cottages, very rarely used. The enclosed garden slopes down over two terraces that are bordered by shrubs and a gate at the end of the lower lawn gives access to the lane that leads down to the estuary and quayside.

Thank you, we all loved our stay. The cottage exceeded expectations all round. Spacious, well equipped and furnished, pleasant decor and fantastic views. We adapted to the lack of phone signal eventually! Would gladly visit again.

2 Avonside is an excellent property in many respects. 2 minor gripes; the fridge and the hot water tank are not really big enough for 7! That aside, I would have no hesitation in returning....we already have once before.

Excellent property to rent for a relaxing holiday with wonderful views over the estuary towards the beach. The accommodation is comfortable and very clean. The gifts of milk and biscuits were a surprise and very welcome.
