2 The Beach is a superb apartment, newly refurbished with an open plan design, conveniently located within two minutes' walk of the seafront, shops and restaurants of Lyme Regis.  It is an impressive conversion, with a luxury feel and wonderful comfort.  An imaginative design in a traditional building, with a true holiday appeal, quietly tucked away in the heart of the coastal town.  The stylish design reflects throughout the property from the master bedroom to the  open plan living room, and fabulous kitchen.  The addition of a small courtyard seating area can extend the long summer days into the evenings to enhance a truly unforgettable holiday by the sea. 

As well as a sandy beach and seafront promenade, Lyme Regis includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. The town is a wonderful location for those seeking a traditional seaside break. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award winning museum, a small theatre and a cinema can be found. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. If you are planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town.

Bathroom: with a bath, mixer taps, basin and W.C.

There is an allocated off-road garage space for one car - please note that this is 200m from the property and parking is inside the garage only. There is a height restriction on the garage of 1.85m, the width is 2.2m and it is 5.1m long. Nearest public parking 5 minute’s walk.  The closest long stay car park in Lyme Regis is Charmouth Road (DT7 3DW).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return. The cottage makes a great base in Lyme and Lyme itself is a great base for the surrounding area. We had forgotten how beautiful the countryside is inland from the coast.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 2 The Beach in wonderful Lyme Regis. The only thing I would mention is that the property was not quite ready when we arrived because the owner had not been informed of our arrival by Toad Hall Cottages, however, this was not a problem for us at all.

The apartment is lovely, beautifully decorated in every detail ( everything with a sea-theme from the chocolates to the tissue-boxes!! delightful ). We appreciated the welcoming touches very much ( the card, the flowers... ) ; we very much appreciated also that the owners allowed us to leave the property later in the morning, it has rendered much easier to pack everything. But it was difficult to leave so lovely a property anyway!! The children appreciated the Sky channels, the books and plays ( and we did it as well ).Spotlessly clean, every appliance brand new.Very detailed information.We were a little preoccupied with the automatic system of entering the property but everything went well.Very good service from Toad Hall Cottages.Thank you very much for a delightful stay in the beautiful Lyme Regis and we hope to come back!!

We had a wonderful time - the apartment was as good if not better than we hoped, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We would very much like to stay again next summer.

We were blessed with glorious weather but were thankful that it was not too hot as there did not appear to be cooling in the apartment. I assume that sea breezes keep Lyme cool at night. The apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed. We appreciated being able to have a late check out and the owner went out of her way to provide assistance. We also appreciated the supplies (breakfast and coffee and wine) as well as the lovely welcome note. Thank you for providing such good service.

We had a great week at 2 The Beach. The location is perfect for exploring Lyme Regis, with plenty of restaurants and pubs right on your door step. The apartment is faultless - well equipped, cosy and welcoming, and absolutely pristine. We would thoroughly recommend it and hope to be back soon!

Having spent a week at 'The Beach' we cannot recommend it enough. Beautiful apartment, close to the heart of Lyme Regis which meant you only had to use the car if you wanted to! Full sky package was a huge bonus.... as was the cot and high chair for our little one. We will return!

Beautiful, contemporary apartment. Thoughtful and welcoming arrival goodies. Fantastic location. Myself, my husband and 2 children ( age 11 and 8) had a great holiday and would definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 2 The Beach. The property was in a good location, was beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. The hosts were helpful and even texted to let us know the property was ready early. They left a great deal of information about Lyme Regis in the property with suggestions for restaurants, walks, things to do in the area, etc. They had essentials like milk, cereal, juice in the apartment for our arrival...a nice extra touch! I would highly recommend 2 The Beach for families, couples, etc. Thanks to our wonderful hosts....we had an excellent vacation in Lyme Regis and would not hesitate to stay there again!
