No. 2 The Moorings is an attractive, centrally heated, ground floor apartment, fully equipped and furnished to a high standard and set close to the water’s edge with its own private patio and garden area provided with garden furniture. The apartment has a designated dinghy space for boat/trailer use close to the slipway.

The Moorings is an impressive development situated on the water’s edge of the beautiful Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary and occupies probably the best situation in Kingsbridge. Set in attractive, shared, landscaped and enclosed gardens alongside the estuary, with occasional seating, although not suitable for children’s games, they provide an idyllic spot to appreciate the views. All the apartments enjoy these superb views from most of their rooms, balconies and/or terraces with vistas down towards Salcombe, across to the wooded banks and meadows on the opposite side and upstream to the town itself. The town, a short walk, approximately one third of a mile on the level along the embankment, has a wide range of interesting shops, restaurants, pubs and a fine leisure centre. Electric gates secure the entrance to The Moorings and there is a designated parking space for each apartment and further visitor parking. Good sandy beaches within 5 miles.

All on one level this apartment is suitable for partially disabled with one step up at the entrance lobby and one step out onto the patio area. The grounds are level and ideal for wheelchair users.

Communal entrance lobby to front door. Spacious and most attractive open plan lounge/dining room has 3 large comfortable sofas (one a 4ft sofa-bed), 43" LED Smart TV with basic Sky package, DVD player, stereo/CD/cassette player, large table to seat 6, books, CD’s and collection of games and jigsaws. There is a feature fireplace with flame effect fire and large picture windows give lovely views over the water. Glazed door to the patio and garden. Bright, well fitted and equipped kitchen with cream units, ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge and separate freezer, microwave, radio, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Two pretty bedrooms, delightfully furnished in welcoming colours, both with fitted cupboards. The double bedroom (5ft bed) has estuary views, free view TV and an en-suite bathroom with bath, hand-held shower attachment, large shower cubicle, basin and WC. Twin room with 3ft single beds that can be zipped together. Separate bathroom with walk in shower, basin and WC.

Patio area overlooking the estuary with table and chairs. Communal gardens surround the development.

A perfect apartment in a beautiful location. Kingsbridge is a perfect location [weather also perfect]. We have thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to No 2. It is the perfect home from home and a pleasure to stay in!

It was our first visit to the property and we were very pleased with the standard of the accommodation and the superb location. Everything was of a very high standard and the views of the estuary were outstanding. The Crabshell pub/restaurant was excellent and only a 4 minute walk away. There was a buzz about the place and it was perfect for a drink/meal in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No 2 and can't wait to return.

We had had a gap of 10years between our last visit to Number 2 The Moorings and this one. On our previous four visits we had the company of "Mum", but since she passed away we found it difficult to return without her. Now we have made that step, we will return to what must be one of the best holiday apartments in the South Hams. As on previous occasions, we really enjoyed our week.

One of the best holiday accommodations we have had the pleasure to visit, we took my parents and had everything we needed for a wonderful and memorable holiday. A minor comment, it took a little while to find the correct key box for the apartment and would suggest a colour code to identify the correct one (it was a long journey and we were a little tired). But as I mentioned, this is a very minor comment.
