4 Kings Quay is a delightful, attractive period cottage set in a secluded walled garden, on a quiet residential lane in the heart of Dartmouth, with the River Dart and the embankment just two minutes’ level walk from the cottage. The cottage, unashamedly old fashioned, exudes warmth and character with original oak beams, stripped pine doors and panelling, exposed stone walls and benefits from a lovely sunny and enclosed garden with a banana tree! This is a most charming self catering holiday cottage, ideal for larger families or two families sharing with the added benefit of a single garage parking.

Front door to hallway. Attractive and spacious sitting room with sofas and armchairs surrounding the fireplace, TV with Freeview, DVD and stereo. The kitchen diner overlooks the garden and has a tiled floor, a fine array of plates on the walls, gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, pantry, pine dining table to seat 7. Utility room/cupboard with washing machine and further sink. Stairs to first floor and master bedroom with two 3ft single beds that can be pushed together to form a double. Single bedroom with 3ft bed and hand basin. Second double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed and fitted wardrobe/storage cupboard. Narrow family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC. Steep stairs to attic bedrooms, comprising of two rooms with single 3ft beds and divided by a shower room with shower, basin and WC.

Pretty enclosed garden, mainly laid to lawn, with teak garden table and chairs.

Single garage parking for one small to medium sized car (height restriction 6ft).

  • Included: Duvets, pillows (no bed linen or towels, these can be hired from an independent hire company - details from Toad Hall Cottages), high chair, central heating (gas) and electricity, WiFi.
  • Pets: Well behaved dogs welcome. Pet charge £25.00 per pet per week.
  • Telephone: No telephone. Mobile reception good.
  • Local Facilities: Beach at Blackpool Sands 3 miles. Shops, pubs, restaurants and the river embankment a minute’s stroll.

It was the perfect property for us. Plenty of room, a great location (no hills!), parking and a secure garden for our dog. Very clean and comfortable too

Wonderful ! Our needs were fulfilled The cake was lovely and as before coming home was a wrench. As on my first visit I can still say I wish I lived here though I had 1st floor room this time and not the attic can't get up them stairs as I did last time! Well done to the people who clean ..... We had a super holiday but just a small point if I may. Just wish the bedding was included as its a lot to bring for seven people. Otherwise very happy with location etc.

Lovely cottage,stayed many times before. Couldn't work out how to get hot water in attic bathroom taps,shower was fine. Henry Hoover made a shocking noise and had a burning smell,turned it off very quickly thought it would blow up!

Myself and extended family stayed here a few years back and we long to return! Beautiful house, superb location. Actually met the owners and they were extremely friendly and welcoming. Good base for exploring everywhere and plenty of crabbing and cream teas! Can't wait to go again!

This was our second stay at 4 Kings and it was lovely to see the improvements the owners have made, particularly the shower and new TV. It is a clean, comfortable and very welcoming property set in a super location.

Wow!! A lovely warm cosy house. Just a stones throw away from the town and pubs, yet once you're back you get the feel that you are in the middle of nowhere (so peaceful and quiet bliss). The dog was cosy and comfortable within an hour of being in the house. Thanks for the Cava, chocolates, milk tea. Weather was better than expected so was able to explore Dartmouth and surrounding areas and great beaches. Nice to see so many friendly people everywhere and great that they are all dog lovers. A brilliant location when you have teenagers with you.

We had an amazing holiday even though the weather was not good. The cottage made up for the fact that it was quite cold and rained most days and our dog (and husband) loved the garden. The welcome gifts of food were most welcome and first class......cannot fault anything about it.
