4 The Malt is a modern and spacious first floor apartment in the very heart of Kingsbridge. Within a short stroll to the estuary and all the town’s inns, restaurants, cafes, shops and markets the property is perfect for those looking to have all facilities on the doorstep. The seaside settlements of Salcombe, Thurlestone, Hope Cove and Torcross are also all within an easy drive or bus ride for the days you wish to relax on the beach or take on one the areas many stunning coastal walks. The apartment is light and comfortable throughout and has great views over the vibrant town square from the Juliet balcony.

Stairs from the secure foyer lead up to first floor apartment with video entry phone. Living roomat the front of the apartment with wood/laminate flooring, full length windows and Juliet balcony. Lounge area with 2 sofas, Smart TV, DVD, dining area to seat 4. Modern kitchen with granite worktops, ceramic hob, built in oven and grill, fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. Corridor to rear double bedroom with 5ft double bed, TV and en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point. Twin bedroom with 3ft beds. Family bathroom with bath with shower over, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point.

Parking permit provided for nearby Quay car park (100 yards from property). Parking permit can also be used in additional car parks around the South Hams. Unloading possible at rear of property.

  • Included: Bed linen, towels, (guests must provide their own beach towels), electricity and night storage/convector heating (electric).

  • Telephone: No telephone. Mobile reception good. Wi-Fi.

  • Dogs: Strictly no dogs allowed in the building.

  • Local Facilities: Sandy beaches within 5 miles. Shops, pubs, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, banks, post office, public library, cinema and leisure centre all within short walk.

I had a lovely stay and enjoyed the river boat trip to Salcombe, a delicious meal there in The Crab Shed and an equally good meal in Kingsbridge at The Old Bakery. I also had a lovely morning exploring Modbury's shops and I found an excellent coffee shop - The Old Bakery- adjacent to a good as new clothes shop. As always, the coast and countryside in the area are delightful and I visited several old haunts as I have known the area since my childhood. 4 The Malt was a great base from which to explore the area and very suitable for a non driver. I caught the train to Totnes and then used the efficient bus network.

We had a lovely week. The only problem was not being able to open both window doors bearing mind the very hot weather we had. This problem has already been reported to the Kingsbridge office.

We had a great stay here. The situation was excellent and the apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The weather was amazing! The car park permit was very useful indeed. I hope the property will continue to be available for short breaks! Will return.

This is the second time we have stayed at this Apartment and, as last time, we found it very comfortable, warm and clean. It is so convenient for all amenties and the food at Creek End, which is only a 2 minute stroll away across the square, very good value with an excellent choice and very friendly service. The Toad Hall staff were also excellent at arranging this very ' last minute' booking for us. Many thanks.

Making my booking through Toadhall Cottages was straightforward and everything was as expected with the property. The website information (photos and written material) was accurate and I particularly liked the virtual tour which was absolutely how the apartment was found. 4 The Malt was a great apartment to rent - a bright, comfortable, clean, well laid out apartment in a very good location in Kingsbridge.

We thought the flat was excellent all round - to be honest I can't think of any thing that could be improved on - good value for money in a central location and the parking pass was very handy as we were walking the SW Coast path. We had a great week returning to the South Hams area after a period of 10 years ( far too long )-we just loved the coast and the beautiful country lanes, and fields. We live in Dorset but the South Hams wins hand down on the natural environment, scenery and rural tranquillity.

This was a very comfortable apartment and extremely convenient for all ameniities in Kingsbridge including regular bus services to all the surrounding towns. I found the Toad Hall staff extremely helpful both when booking and during our stay.
