This smart, modern penthouse apartment overlooks Kingsbridge square and the pretty quayside at the head of the Salcombe estuary in South Devon. It offers comfortable accommodation and the convenience of being just a few steps from the many inns, restaurants, cafes and shops of this attractive market town.  The famous South Devon beaches and coastal walks are a short drive away and Kingsbridge is ideally located near the centre of the beautiful South Hams, allowing easy access to its many attractions. The South West facing apartment has a living room with vaulted ceiling and French windows with a Juliet balcony, giving wonderful views of the estuary and town. There are also two comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms and a designated parking space. Kingsbridge also boasts a nearby sports centre and cinema and The River Maid passenger ferry can take you down the estuary in the season to the bustling seaside town of Salcombe.

Please Note: Owing to the flight of stairs up to the apartment it may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm.

Stairs from the secure foyer lead up to this second floor apartment with video entry phone. Living room at the front of the apartment with wood/laminate flooring, full length windows and Juliet balcony. Lounge area with two sofas and TV with built in DVD player, ipod dock. Dining area with table and leather chairs to seat 4.  Modern kitchen with granite worktops, ceramic hob, built in oven and grill, fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer and microwave. Corridor to rear double bedroom with 5ft double and en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point. Family bathroom with bath with shower over, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point. Twin bedroom with two 3ft beds.

No outside space at the property however there is a Juliet balcony which overlooks the town sqaure and has views of the estuary to one side.

Designated space for 1 car.

The property has a designated boat parking bay for small dinghys, kayaks etc by the slipway at the end of Quay car park.

The location was good if not a bit noisy. Local to every thing you could need. Shops, bars, restaurants and local buses. Would stay in the same flat again.

The apartment was fantastic we did have a problem with shower door but within 40 mins of ringing up in good Friday a man had been out and fixed the problem. The only small thing was the washing machine door very hit and miss when it would open, overall great place and will be back.

The washing machine door is a little stiff but a slightly firmer grip on the handle should open it with no problem.

Great holiday in a wonderful apartment. Perfect location near Kingsbridge's centre, over looking the quay. Great base to explore from. There were only a couple of small things: the bedside lamps in the main bedroom didn't work, even after a replacement bulb. The other thing was that in the main bathroom there was no obvious way to make the shower work. No instructions that we could find either. But otherwise a fantastic apartment.

Delighted you had such a good holiday and sorry for the few minor niggles. We are getting them rectified. Hope to see you again soon. The Toad Hall team.

Contact/correspondence prior to our holiday was great - due to being busy at work, I was running out of time to sort keycode for the safe and ended up making a call whilst driving (handsfree!). The offer to email the code was much appreciated and saved me making another phone call. We will be back to Devon next year (or maybe later in the year) and will definitely booked with THC again. Thanks for helping us have a fabulous holiday.

Although we experienced some problems with the hot water and the dishwasher, both yourselves and the owner acted very promptly to get them sorted out for us. Thank you.

Overall vey pleased with accommodation, but noticed oven had been used but not cleaned, and rug in lounge was becoming grubby. Extraction in bathroom and en suite poor.

We felt the flat lacked several items in the kitchen area. These were toast rack, a casserole dish or two (my fish pie had to be made in a frying pan!), serving bowls (the two available were extremely large and not suitable for, say, a side dish, there were no suitable glass bowls for microwave i.e. to make scrambled eggs, the kitchens knives were blunt!, no whisk, no potato peeler. We never found a hairdrier! Only two small towels put out for the second bedroom - this was after we had made an enquiry and were given access to the store cupboard and found another two small towels. There were a set of brand new towels there, still with ribbon around which we did not feel we should take.

We are pleased to say that the equipment has now been reviewed and updated.

Really enjoyed our week in Kingsbridge. The Malt is very well located, and we enjoyed being able to walk to a variety of local restaurants. Took a walk down to Bowcombe Creek, and saw the buzzards soaring - a magnificent sight! Also walked from East Soar to Overbecks (and back again!) and enjoyed visits to Salcombe, Totnes, Torcross and Slapton. Definitely exceeded our expectations.

A lovely smart apartment in a great location, with local shops and restaurants just a short stroll away. Good bus services to other local areas.

The property is both well equipped and furnished, with comfortable beds. It is conveniently situated for both the town and estuary being a couple of minutes walk from both and only a 10 minute drive to local beaches.
