Doorstep walks to the beach, a pub around the corner, a large garden to play in and superb walking on the nearby coastal path - something for everyone.

August 2019

Lovely large house, we were 2 familys and had plenty of room

August 2019

A lovely home from home very comfortable with a beautiful large garden. There were one or two chips on glasses and crockery. I broke 2 champagne flutes and replaced them with 4

August 2018

A lovely house and garden which we all enjoyed

August 2018

We met the housekeeper who came to clean the cottage on the last day, she couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Things we really liked about the cottage: quiet and peaceful, plentiful hot water and three showers!! (great for coming in off the beach), proper curtains that actually made the bedrooms dark, really comfortable bed, also great to have a large freezer (we managed to get a Tesco delivery the day we got there that lasted us the whole week, as we were able to freeze bread and milk etc). Also have to give a special mention to the cake that awaited us when we arrived, which somewhat compensated us for two days of rain after the longest hottest summer I can remember!

June 2018

Really enjoyed the stay and garden. One improvement would be to clear our unnecessary odds and ends from the one store cupboard to allow our groceries to be stacked not balanced on top of each other. Little work surfaces because of the nik-naks which gave a cottage/ old fashioned feel that many would like but made food prep more difficult. Pub was really good and the food smelt great.

September 2017

We very much enjoyed our stay and plan on being back to Apple Barn next year.

December 2015

Apple Barn accommodation was just what we wanted, and the general level of equipment excellent. Local services of caretaker prompt when needed. Really good walking area... weather mixed but did not hinder us. A thoroughly enjoyable Christmas holiday

July 2014

We stayed in Apple Barn as an extended family party of 4 adults and 3 children, and thoroughly enjoyed our week in South Hams. The house is absolutely lovely- so much better than the average holiday let- it feels like a home, tastefully decorated and superbly equipped. The house is spacious and the well-kept garden is huge. Access to the amazing beaches and lush countryside is easy, and the village is pretty, quiet and welcoming. We would love to return and would recommend Apple Barn highly, and without reservation.
