Boathouse Cottage, a delightful period cottage, has remarkable and most attractive views across its own lovely garden that winds down to the foreshore of Frogmore Creek, a dreamy inlet of the Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary. Here it is possible to sit on the waterside terrace, glass in hand and watch the endlessly changing tidal ebb and flow of the creek and the accompanying bird life. Comfortably furnished and well equipped the cottage is situated on the main coastal road that runs through Frogmore village which has a good pub and shop/home bakery. The cottage is well located in the heart of the South Hams where there are miles of cliff walks around Start Point, golden sandy coves and beaches close by, bird watching at Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve, horse riding and golf all within easy distance. However, you may not want to go far, the beautiful garden and its gorgeous waterside location will all ensure that Boathouse Cottage keeps you there.

A lovely cottage.Very well equipped and comfortable, one of the best we have stayed at.
Having the estuary at the bottom of the garden was a delight. Thought Kingsbridge was a lovely little town. The road outside the cottage is noisy and busy but when you are at the back of the house it can be forgotten. Altogether we really enjoyed our holiday
The location on the creek was excellent and was much appreciated on the sunny days / evenings that we had. The property was large enough & generally equipped well for our family of 5 adults. If the 3rd bedroom had also had twin beds rather than bunk beds then it would have been more flexible. Our only concern was the closeness to the A road which was far busier than we expected with buses and lorries especially if you had the front bedroom (bunk beds) although it didn't spoil the holiday. Overall we had a great time and were pleased with our choice both for its facilities, location, and room
Delighted you had a good holiday. The cottage is located on the main Kingsbridge to Dartmouth road and in the summer inevitably traffic increases. However, as the cottage faces the estuary, it is only those staying in the bunk bedroom that really hear the traffic and it tends to die out in the evenings.

We loved the Boathouse and the facilities it had, we have already reserved it for next year, thanks,
We enjoyed our stay very much and would happily return. The garden is superb, the property is spacious and the beds comfortable. Lots of places to visit in easy driving distance and some great walks. Good fishing in the tidal creek at the bottom of the garden (mullet and bass as the tide comes in). Good wi-fi and adequate mobile phone signal were a bonus
Boathouse Cottage was just idyllic, the location stunning. Having the creek at the bottom of the beautiful garden was the best feature. We sat on the terrace every evening and watched the boats, birds and the locals going about their business on the water. Was sad to leave the serenity!
Boathouse Cottage is a very clean and comfortable cottage, with a wonderful well-kept garden leading down to the tidal creek. All furnishings are a good standard and the kitchen is very well equipped.
Loved everything about the house, garden and view so peaceful down by the water. Going home totally relaxed.
We have just returned from an idyllic 6 days at the boathouse cottage, the garden is so picturesque, laid out in four segments, each with something different to offer and finally leading down to the estuary. We had breakfast alfresco in the top garden and barbecued on the bottom patio overlooking the estuary. The only disappointment was that, on arrival, we were informed that the summer house should not be used as it is in need of renovation. We would definitely visit again, but next time, for longer! We didn't want to leave!
