The Breakers is situated in a perfect, very peaceful position, nestling as it does against the cliffside overlooking the famous historic fishing harbour of Polperro. Situated on a traffic free lane, this comfortable cottage enjoys some of the most picturesque views of the rugged Cornish coastline in this beautiful part of Cornwall.

Living room with window seat, attractive sea views, feature oak panelled wall, cane sofa and two chairs, flat screen TV with Freeview, plenty of books and a dining table to seat four. Small, simple kitchen area with electric cooker, fridge with ice box and microwave. Stairs up to the attractive and spacious twin bedroom with wonderful views and two 3ft single beds. Adjacent shower room with electric shower, wash hand basin and WC. Further stairs to the second floor large double bedroom with superb sea views, window seat, 4ft 6in double bed, flat screen TV with Freeview and an en-suite bathroom with bath, hand shower, wash hand basin and WC.

Garage parking for one car at Fishna Bridge car park (approximately 5 mins walk from the cottage).

Other public parking available in local car park, approximately 15 mins walk (fees apply).

Please note: There is no vehicle access to the property itself.

  • Telephone: For incoming calls only. Mobile reception poor (Orange and T-Mobile/EE good). WiFi.
  • Local Facilities: Polperro beach 10 minutes walk. Talland beach 1 mile. Shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants all in Polperro. Looe with more facilities, 4 miles. Plymouth 25 miles. Truro 29 miles.

Two things. 1. It was a little confusing on departure what exactly to do with the rubbish. Inside the folder held in the property it states, to leave the rubbish outside in the blue bag by 10am. But inside the property there is a A4 note on the wall, stating to leave the rubbish within the property. 2. It does not say in the folder inside the property what to do with the keys upon departure. We popped into the office to enquire about this.

‘Thank you for your useful feedback we appreciate you taking the time to inform us of these details. As keys are collected from the office on arrival, they need to be dropped back off to the office on departure as this property does not have a keybox. We will make sure that this information is included in the property folder and on travel details from now on. We are sorry that there was conflicting information regarding rubbish disposal, we have now made sure that the instructions in the travel details match those in the information folder, so that guests are not confused.’

I was really pleased to note that my comments made previously about earlier visits seem to have been acted upon. The standard of overall cleanliness was so much improved and there was a new carpet in the main living room and the rug had been removed from the bedroom, all small but significant details that made a big difference. It was also pleasing to see that the rather curt notices on the walls, issuing instructions had been removed. We had a lovely week here and enjoyed every minute. This cottage is excellent value for money. Thank you very much.
