The seaside resort of Bournemouth is the largest town in Dorset and a bustling hive of activity, making it the perfect destination for people who like to keep busy whilst on holiday and have plenty of choice of things to do.

The town centre enjoys a vast array of high street shops, restaurants and department stores, whilst the town is also renowned for its lively nightlife, theatre, art galleries, museums and of course its seven mile stretch of golden sandy beaches, enjoying their own microclimate in their sheltered position under the magnificent cliff-line. There’s something for everyone in Bournemouth.

The star attraction at Bournemouth Central Beach is the iconic Victorian pier, with its arcade, amusements, rides and traditional seaside fare. There are also plenty of places to hire out deckchairs, beach huts and even water sports gear if you feel like taking the plunge during your visit.

The town benefits from three historic gardens to explore, running from Bournemouth Pier to the boundary with Poole, each offering a peaceful oasis and beautiful calm scenery just a stone’s throw from the hub-bub of Bournemouth town centre. The gardens are popular among families for their tree trails, mini golf, parks and tennis courts, as well as several friendly cafes.

From Bournemouth you can easily access many smaller, more laid-back resorts too, either by walking along the stunning Jurassic coast path east towards Boscombe or west toward Alum Chine. Alternatively you can save your legs, and hop on the Bournemouth Land Train for a more relaxing way to get there.

Transport links are good for exploring other parts of the world heritage Jurassic coastline, and discovering the surrounding picturesque Dorset villages and countryside.

Allocated parking for two cars.

April 2024

Excellent property and fantastic stay

March 2024

This is a beautiful house, clean and well equipped. The location is perfect for either a walk into Westbourne or a very lovely walk down the Chine and onto the promenade where you can walk for miles.

September 2023

Excellent standard of accommodation with everything thought of, plus parking. Walking distance of shops and eateries.

August 2023

Lovely house and very comfortable. Can recommend Bigwigs in Westbourne for cakes, bread and coffee and Chez Fred for fish and chips.

June 2023

My elderly mother and myself really enjoyed our long weekend at Chine Wanderer. The house has an excellent standard of spacious roomy accommodation, with high spec kitchen appliances, a good sized television and we loved the touch-mirror lighting in the bathrooms! The garden provided a quiet, relaxing, environment with very comfy outdoor furniture. The location is just great, with parking for two cars which was handy as my brother visited over the weekend and was able to park on-site.. We were just a few minutes by car from the beach, 3 minutes from the local supermarket, and there was also a lovely route on foot down to the beach through the nearby chine. Could not have hoped for a better experience and definitely want to return in the future!

June 2023

This was an immaculate property and we loved it so much we extended our stay by a further night. The beds were very comfortable and the house was cleaned and furnished to a very high standard indeed. Lovely kitchen, living area, bedrooms, bathrooms. The garden was fab to use and we frequently ate breakfast and supper in the garden. A fantastic holiday home.
