Nestled in a quiet lane with attractive cottages and historic origins, this attractive two bedroom property in the heart of Lyme Regis offers comfortable accommodation for couples or families. The seafront promenade, shops, restaurants, pubs and gardens are all just a stone's throw from the cottage. A wonderful seaside property from which to enjoy all that Lyme Regis has to offer, centrally located from which couples or small families can enjoy this popular seaside town. Please Note: a new fully fitted kitchen is due to be fitted in June 2019.
This holiday cottage is located just a minute's walk from the main shops, seafront and amenities in the heart of the seaside town of Lyme Regis. As well as a sandy beach and seafront promenade, the town includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. Lyme Regis is a wonderful location for a traditional seaside break. There are a wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award winning museum, and small theatre. For the more adventurous, the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust Estate at Golden Cap. For those planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town.
Front door to hallway, leading to a basic Kitchen with large breakfast bar (new fully kitted kitchen is being fitted in June 2019), electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. Generous size lounge with sofas, flatscreen TV and DVD, electric fire. French doors open into the conservatory with table and chairs and sliding doors to the patio. Ground floor cloakroom with WC and wash basin. Stairs to first floor. Bedroom 1 with two 3ft single beds and a 3ft day bed. Small balcony with french doors and views across the rooftops with glimpses of the sea. Bedroom 2 has a 4ft 6inch double bed and access to the Family bathroom with shower over bath, WC and wash basin.
Sliding doors from the conservatory lead out on to a paved patio area. There is also a large south facing garden which has been put down to shingle, in which to sit and relax. Views across the town’s rooftops to the sea beyond.
There is an allocated off-road garage space for one car very nearby - please note that this is 5 mins walk from the property and parking is inside the garage only. There is a height restriction on the garage of 1.9m, the width is 2.75m and it is 4.6m long. Nearest public parking is also 5 minute’s walk. The closest long stay car park in Lyme Regis is Charmouth Road (DT7 3DW).
