As we had such good nights sleep better than at home, would it be possible to find out make of mattresses and quilt. Many thanks.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - not long enough. So peaceful - blackbird woods across the road ideal for dog owners.
Fantastic location for visiting the south hams. Although in a quiet area village has good amenities. Very dog friendly with secure outside space. Perhaps tv in the bedroom would be helpful for alternative choice. All in all an excellent let a let I would revisit.
Lovley host perfect cottage.
A lovely warm+comfortable holiday home. All home comforts+with the enclosed garden perfect for 2 + dog! Would def recommend +hope to return in the future. Very pleasant helpful owner next door.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'Fairwinds' which was spotlessly clean and very well furnished and had an excellent bathroom. We would recommend this holiday cottage and with the service from Toad Hall are looking forward to our stay at another cottage from their website in September .
Had a lovely time ,accommodation was comfortable and homely perfectly placed for visiting surrounding areas .
Very comfortable and immaculate accommodation inside and out. Lovely welcome from the owners, who also provided a great welcome pack of wine, coffee, tea and sugar, bowl of fruit and even milk in the fridge. Very impressed that even the dog was catered for with blanket, towel, food bowls and biscuits! The bed was extremely comfortable and a lovely strong shower. The courtyard garden was very attractive, well lit at night and totally secure for our dog. Lovely coastal walks nearby and plenty of dog friendly eating places. Ideal spot to visit all the towns and attractions no more than an hours drive away. Nearby Slapton Sands and the nature reserve became a favourite early morning walk. All in all the best cottage we have stayed in and great value for money. Highly recommend!
Fairwinds is a fantastic cottage, everything you need is provided, Janice and John are so helpful and the perfect owners, made our stay extra special, Fairwinds is definitely the best cottage we have stayed at in Devon and Cornwall over the past 10 years,
Enjoyed stay very much
Loved it, once we found it! Forgot to check your directions. Lovely owners, very welcoming. Really comfortable stay with great new kitchen with dishwasher. Ideal for couple and small dog. Thank you for the doggy gifts too.
We enjoyed our stay very much .We had an excellent welcome .The bottle of wine and the food basket as well as milk in the fridge were very much appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the provision for the dog excellent. The property was extremely clean , well decorated . The owners couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The apartment is well situated for access to many of the lovely beaches and local towns. There was lots of books to read and videos to watch had we chosen to use them because of bad weather but fortunately we were able to get out every day and enjoy the surroundings.
Had a perfect stay at Fairwinds. John and Janice could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. Everywhere was clean and fresh, all the little extra's were lovely. Even treats for our dog. Could not fault this property in any way. Ideal location and great places to visit. Would like to visit again.
Janice and John made us very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Fairwinds. Everything was perfect. We will spread the word!
Great place to stay. Can't fault the accommodation
We loved it at Fairwinds, John and Janice are so lovely and friendly. Nice to have a parking spot at the property as well. Thanks.
Really good place, well equipped and very comfortable. Courtyard is very handy when the sun is out and the small wood opposite is great for a quick dog walk. The beach is only a mile away although would not recommend walking on the road. Boat and train trips from Dartmouth are great. The pub in the village is closed but the restaurant looks good.
I would highly recommend this property. We had a fantastic time in Devon and the property we stayed in made our holiday more enjoyable. It really felt like home from home. Very clean and tidy on arrival. Presently furnished.
Have had an absolutely fantastic stay. The accommodation is really fab, the scenery, the walks, the food(loved the Tower Inn Slapton)- very dog friendly too. would love to come again
We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is absolutely fantastic & a very homely feel. We loved the fact that books & games were provided too. The surrounding area is beautiful & we enjoyed long walks with our dog & 6 month old son. Many many thanks.
We were recently the first couple to have a wonderful , relaxing stay at the newly renovated apartment above . The apartment was really lovely and so well thought out , with a very private outside patio space . The bed was ultra comfortable and the rooms throughout the apartment are decorated to a high standard and spacious too . The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped with all we needed to ensure a very enjoyable stay. The owners, Janice and John were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We will most definitely make a regular visit to this great spot and wish them lots of success with this little gem Susan and David Richards
