This picture postcard village with its thatched cottages, boasts a good pub, village stores, a 4 star hotel and several splendid sandy beaches, all within a short walk of this most attractive, warm and bright home.

Front door into hallway. Stairs up to the spacious living room that is dominated by the picture windows that make the most of the spectacular views. Furnished with comfortable sofas, floor cushions and TV/DVD with full Sky TV package with sports & movies, glazed doors open to a superb decked balcony that extends the length of the living room and is furnished with 10 seater dining table and contemporary L shaped sofa. Large dining table to seat 10. The well-equipped kitchen area has an electric cooker with ceramic hob and double oven, combination microwave, large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Adjacent to the living room is a spacious double bedroom with 6ft bed, fitted cupboards and magnificent double aspect views. Bathroom with electric shower over the bath, basin and WC. Downstairs are 4 further bedrooms. Bedroom 2: A large room with 6ft bed, picture windows and fitted cupboards. Family Bathroom with bath and shower over, basin and WC. Bedroom 3: Twin room with 3ft beds, cot and glazed door into carpeted conservatory with a sofa and French doors to the garden. Bedroom 4: Twin room with 3ft beds. Separate bathroom with power shower over bath, basin and WC. Through the utility room and up two steps is reached Bedroom 5: Twin room with 3 ft beds and sliding glazed doors with juliet balcony (which can be accessed separately from the main house, ideal for grandparents, au pair or teenagers). Wet room with power shower, basin, WC and underfloor heating. Superb Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge, floor to ceiling heated towel rails, drying rack and french doors leading both to the rear garden and separate entrance from the front driveway of the house.

The large private rear gardens are totally enclosed and the wide lawns are bordered by attractive shrubs. Extending from the conservatory is a new deck level provided with table and chairs. A footpath borders one side of the property and provides easy access to the golf course and beaches.

For two cars on driveway. Additional parking may be available 200 metres away alongside the church, when available.

  • Pets: One well behaved pet accepted, others by prior agreement with the owners.  Pet charge £25.00 per pet per week.

  • Local Facilities: Beach, pub, shop, golf course (handicap required) and tennis courts all approximately a quarter of a mile. Salcombe 5 miles. Kingsbridge 5 miles.

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the wonderful view, the walks and the property itself. My comments above did not detract from our enjoyment of our week. I recognise the property is used by the family who own it and was well serviced with equipment etc. It would not take much to replace chopping boards which were well cut and marked a little or the plates some of which had seen better days. The only other issue which we found was slightly difficult was the parking. We either had 4 cars to park or 3. We had to offload the luggage outside the property initially and the neighbour directly opposite was at her gate in a flash!!!! We parked the extra cars alongside the church but that was often busy with builders vans. For such a large bedroomed property we were surprised that there was not more available parking on the property. Maybe a small section of the garden could be given over to additional parking? I phoned to apologies for accidentally packing the twister game mat in my grandchildrens toy bag!!! I will return it by post to the property on my return from Ireland.

Fiferail is a fabulous property with wonderful views, a lovely garden and so conveniently situated for local amenities. The utility room worked so well for children and adults coming in from the beach with its wet room and drying facilities. Also appreciated the second fridge/freezer and how well stocked the house was with crockery and cutlery and glass. My husband was very pleased to have Sky to watch some of the Test Match and it was fun having the table tennis. My only adverse comment would be that we would really have liked to have a barbecue to cook on partly because the oven didn't quite match up to the standard of the rest of the property. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful holiday and for letting us bring the dogs, they had a lovely time.

Wonderful sea views, wonderful garden which is fully enclosed (dog proof) and fabulous decking from which to enjoy it all. Five mins walk from the beach, pub and shop. Nicest rental from Toad Hall so far. Hope to be back.

Fantastic holiday as always through Toad Hall Cottages. Will hopefully be back again next year. Fiferail was perfect, we will be back next year if we can.
