Fuschia Cottage is a spacious property with ample parking and enclosed back garden for the exclusive use of visitors.
Within a ten minute walk, guests can meander down to Lyme Regis bustling sea front and promenade. The historic old town retains an olde world charm with small streets filled with galleries, boutique shops and famed gastro restaurants and cafés. Its sheltered south facing beaches are safe for children and water sports enthusiasts alike with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour. For those who would like a change of scene and a day away from the beach, the surrounding rolling countryside, which is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasts walking and cycling in abundance or perhaps while away a few days exploring pretty East Devon fishing villages such as Beer and Branscombe or head to the market town of Axminster to sample Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable. Welcome pack a very pleasant surprise. Thank you!
All good. Thank you.
A lovely cottage, close to the sea and dog friendly
Ideal location to walk to the high street and the beach within minutes. Perfect property for the dogs due to the enclosed garden. Stayed at Christmas and was very nice to arrive and find a lovely Christmas tree in the property. Also lovely welcome packs for humans and dogs! We will definitely be back! Thank you.
Goodie bag was appreciated
We were expecting a dishwasher, although as we didn’t eat in much we didn’t miss it much. The welcome packs were a lovely touch which we appreciated.
Thank you for giving 5 Stars and we are sorry there was no dishwasher. THC work hard to give all relevant information for guests including all the household equipment. Guests will note that there is no reference to a dishwasher on the website

We really enjoyed our stay at Fuschia Cottage, and were lucky to have glorious weather. The property is in an ideal location within easy walking distance to the centre of Lyme Regis. There is enough space for 4 people, and the beds are very comfy. The only thing that disturbed us were the seagulls having a good squawk as the sun came up!. The garden is small and the pictures are an accurate reflection of its size . It was handy having a bathroom in each of the rooms. Although compact they are perfectly usable. If you intend to fully self cater, it would be difficult to store all the food needed for a family of 4 for a week. The kitchen is well equipped, but lacks storage space for a weeks worth of food. The fridge only has a freezer box too. I would consider this the only down side to the property. There are plenty of local dog friendly beaches too, and many of the restaurants and pubs welcome dogs too. Seaton, Eype and either side of the main Lyme Regis sandy bay (which also has good crabbing) were never packed and the dog could roam free. I would stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although we had a couple of small issues on arrival Toad Hall staff sorted them out immediately, going that extra mile in terms of service and efficiency which nowadays seems lacking. Will definitely book with Toad Hall again and would recommend them 100%.
We will use Toad Hall again, very happy overall as the property was bright and welcoming and parking good. Local pubs and coffee shops fab, lovely area and despite the very tough uphill walk from the town to the cottage it was great.
Liked the area and will certainly consider making a future booking in Fuschia Cottage.
Yes we did enjoy our stay. Walked 60km that week along the coastal walks. So enjoyed our drinks in the garden in the evening. Will use Toad Hall Cottages again Thank you Jan and Emma
We did enjoy our stay, despite the points raised above. I would like to add that the staff of Toad Hall Cottages were fantastic in helping to sort out the WiFi which didn't work upon arrival and came the next day and got it going for us...so thank you very much for that!
Really enjoyed our stay here & would have no hesitation in booking a holiday here, just a shame about the parking arrangements.
Sorry you had a minor issue with the parking. There is parking for up to 6 cars at the premises, including two for Fuschia Cottage, but it does rely on other guests parking considerately. To facilitate this the owners are painting lines to make the parking areas more obvious.
