Found in a quiet residential street, only 5 minutes walk from the town centre with its cafes, pubs and restaurants. It is also just a short walk away from the sea front with its sandy beaches, Langmoor Gardens and the historic Cobb, so visitors can park their cars and forget about them for their entire holiday! Fuschia Cottage is a spacious prroperty with ample parking and enclosed back garden for the exclusive use of visitors.
Within a ten minute walk, guests can meander down to Lyme Regis bustling sea front and promenade. Often referred to as the ‘Pearl of Dorset’, Lyme Regis is well known for its literary association with Jane Austen as well as its diverse geology which people from across the world flock to in the hunt for fossils. The historic old town retains an olde worlde charm with small streets filled with galleries, boutique shops and famed gastro restaurants and cafés. Its sheltered south facing beaches are safe for children and water sports enthusiasts alike with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour. For those who would like a change of scene and a day away from the beach, the surrounding rolling countryside, which is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasts walking and cycling in abundance or perhaps while away a few days exploring pretty East Devon fishing villages such as Beer and Branscombe or head to the market town of Axminster to sample Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen.
Spacious Open plan ground floor living area with dining table and chairs. Lounge with feature fireplace, 4ft Sofabed, Flatscreen TV/DVD and additional sofa. The kitchen is equipped with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge with icebox and washing machine. Stairs to first floor. Bedroom 1 with 4ft 6inch double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin 3ft single beds. Both bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with WC and wash basin.
A French door from the lounge leads to an enclosed back garden equipped with garden furniture.
To the front of the property there is off-road parking for 1-2 vehicles.

- Pets: Two small to medium dogs welcome in public areas of property only (not bedrooms). Pet Charge £25 per dog per week.

We did enjoy our stay, despite the points raised above. I would like to add that the staff of Toad Hall Cottages were fantastic in helping to sort out the WiFi which didn't work upon arrival and came the next day and got it going for us...so thank you very much for that!
Really enjoyed our stay here & would have no hesitation in booking a holiday here, just a shame about the parking arrangements.
Sorry you had a minor issue with the parking. There is parking for up to 6 cars at the premises, including two for Fuschia Cottage, but it does rely on other guests parking considerately. To facilitate this the owners are painting lines to make the parking areas more obvious.
