Description

Heywood Cottage is a delightful traditional single storey detached cottage tucked away within the New Forest National Park in the peaceful hamlet of Boldre, just outside the popular coastal town of Lymington. This charming cottage is one of the buildings that originally formed the Tithe Barn of Boldre and is situated within the mature grounds adjacent to the owners' home. The property has been tastefully equipped to ensure that guests have an enjoyable stay anytime of the year, whether it is alfresco dining in the stunning gardens or snuggling up cosily in front of the wood burner.

The peaceful, colourful large gardens extend to a walk along the river. The surrounding area offers many attractions including The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, walking or cycling in the New Forest National Park, or visiting the New Forest towns of Burley, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Lymington all special in their own way.

Spacious Lounge with wood burning stove in traditional fireplace surround, TV, DVD player, CD player, iPod docking station and sofa bed for occasional use. Kitchen/diner with electric hob, integrated electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer, dining table with seating for six and attractive views over the garden.
Bedroom 1, double bed, TV and ample storage.
Bedroom 2, single bed and storage.
Bathroom with shower over large bath, hand basin and WC.

Stunning south west facing gardens laid to lawn with colourful shrubs leading down to the river and river walk, garden furniture.

Available on driveway for one car.

Included Bed linen and towels. Electricity, central heating (oil) and WiFi.
Children All ages welcome but please be aware that the garden goes down to the river and is not enclosed so children must be supervised at all times. Highchair available, please request at time of booking.

absolutely wonderful stay, fantastic location for us for walking and cycling and the beautiful gardens and river were delightful and so peaceful. the hosts were very helpful with a couple of problems, but generally left us to our holiday. 10/10 for a fab week.

We have just spent a week in Heywood cottage. A well appointed, warm and cosy home in quiet and very pleasant surroundings, also situated in a popular area of the New Forest. We would definitely stay there again.
