Description

Little Haven, a detached two bedroom bungalow, is located in a residential area close to the centre of the pretty little East Devon town of Colyton, with its tearooms, shops and traditional pubs. This property is ideally situated for enjoying all that this lovely part of the English countryside has to offer and provides comfortable, very good quality accommodation for those seeking a holiday home close to local amenities and just a short drive from the coast. The bungalow includes a very well equipped kitchen and separate dining room along with a comfortable lounge that has doors opening to a small enclosed rear garden. There is a double bedroom and a second bedroom with twin beds.  Easy access to the off-road parking makes this a good choice for those wanting to explore the local area by car during their stay. The owners welcome well behaved dogs.

The popular Seaton Tramway, running along the Axe estuary to the local seaside town, stops a short walk away and offers a relaxing way to discover the local area. The whole of the Jurassic coast, now a world heritage site, is within easy reach and the lovely West Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis is only about 15 minutes away by car. For those that enjoy a culinary treat, celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage shop and restaurant are also nearby in the East Devon market town of Axminster. 

Detached bungalow on one level. Ground floor: Lounge with TV/DVD and doors to enclosed garden and patio (a few steps down). Fitted kitchen with gas oven and hob, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Separate dining room. Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bathroom with bath, power shower over bath and W.C.

Off-road parking for one car on the driveway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Haven. We were met by Liz, the very friendly owner who showed us where to find everything. The bungalow was very clean and well equipped. The lounge was comfortable as were the beds. It is in a perfect location for travelling around East Devon and Dorset. Will definitely consider staying here again if we are going to holiday in this area.

We are feeling smug as for us it was the perfect property. We hardly used the car all week. Three pubs, three tea rooms, lots of walks, general convenience store, butchers and chemist all within walking distance of the doorstep. The best terrace in the world for people watching (particularly going to and from the pub!). And the moment we first opened the front door we could see straight thru to the view. Outstanding.

Little Haven is a lovely bungalow - clean, warm, comfortable, well equipped & in a good location. Colyton village centre, with local shops, post office & pubs is only a 5 minute walk. The garden is enclosed, safe for dogs. Liz, the owner is very caring, provides a super welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits & flowers and is always available if you need her, just a phone call away. It's only a short drive to Exmouth, Buddleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Branscome, Beer, Seaton & Lyme Regis. Toad Hall booking is efficient & helpful, advising of road closures in the area during your stay.

we did enjoy our stay as the cottage is a great location for visiting nearby areas of this lovely part of the country. The cottage as I said needed a lot of 'TLC' to bring it up to the standard that we have always experienced when holidaying with yourselves. I did have to clean the patio windows that were dirty inside and my wife had to vacuum the cobwebs that were on the bedroom ceilings and walls. Apart from this, we had a lovely relaxing two weeks and enjoyed Colyton immensely and enjoyed visiting our favourite locations throughout Devon.

Perfect location within easy walking distance of countryside walks, and the village centre. The owner was friendly and the bungalow was spacious, clean and well equipped. We all enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful bungalow , clean and everything you need for a wonderful stay, also in a lovely spot , so quiet, and lots of walks for our dog straight from the front door. Pub just down the road for excellent lunches and dog friendly too. Colyton residents very friendly. Perfect holiday. Hope to return again.
