New for Summer 2017
Little Kershay is a stunning new conversion, perfect for couples, and ideally located to explore the Jurassic Coastline and bustling market towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis. It is modern, light and airy, with an attractive patio area and all its rooms are on the ground floor. Well laid out, offering ease of movement and very suitable for those guests who may have limited mobility. Nestled away in nearby Salway Ash, a quaint hamlet on the outskirts of Bridport, but close enough to enjoy the charming harbour of West Bay (recently made famous by the TV series Broadchurch) and the Heritage Coast. For friends and larger families there is also the opportunity to book Little Whittle in the same location. Please see LWHITT
Nearby Bridport town is a vibrant and attractive Georgian location, now becoming better known for its lively arts scene and excellent local food. Every Wednesday and Saturday Bridport holds a famous street Market with stalls selling curiosities, amazing artisan food and bric-a-brac. This small market town is able to boast independent, award winning, butchers, bakers, greengrocers and a brewery! There is also a museum, a restored Art Deco cinema (which doubles up as a concert venue and theatre), and Arts Centre.
Often referred to as the ‘Pearl of Dorset’, Lyme Regis is well known for its literary association with Jane Austen as well as its diverse geology which people from across the world flock to in the hunt for fossils. The historic old town retains an olde worlde charm with small streets filled with galleries, boutique shops and famed gastro restaurants and cafés. Its sheltered south facing beaches are safe for children and water sports enthusiasts alike with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour. For those who would like a change of scene and a day away from the beach, the surrounding rolling countryside, which is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasts walking and cycling in abundance or perhaps while away a few days exploring pretty East Devon fishing villages such as Beer and Branscombe or head to the market town of Axminster to sample Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen.

Myself and my husband had a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable 11 night holiday in August 2017 at Little Kershay. The cottage is perfect for a tranquil getaway in the beautiful West Dorset countryside and Sue and Frank made us feel immensely welcome and were kind and helpful.
Owners delightful, setting utterly beautiful, location excellent for exploring all over. Truly loved this little place. The icing on the cake was that the directions provided were so good, we even managed to find it in the pitch black when we arrived at 10pm!
Cosy little cottage in a peaceful, rural location. Has a private garden overlooking the countryside. We were lucky enough to see two deers grazing early one morning. Great if you want to get away from it all.
Loved our stay here, and we are looking forward to coming back. Sue and Frank made us so welcome, thankyou to you both. Fell in love with the cottage and also the grounds.
