Description

Lower Court Barn located in Galmpton, close to Hope Cove, is a recently converted stylish and spacious barn finished to a high specification providing comfortable and luxurious accommodation. The property has many features to make it perfect for a family break including a huge enclosed garden to enjoy the sunshine. It is less than a mile to the sandy beaches of Hope Cove, the Hope and Anchor, a family friendly pub, and the popular Cove restaurant and the village store. All in all a great location from which to explore Hope Cove, the coast and the South Hams.

For larger groups you can book this property along with Elmfields which is located next door (subject to availability). 

Ground floor: Open plan kitchen, dining and seating area with electric cooker and hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, dining table to seat up to 8, sofa, TV and log burner. Lounge with two sofas, TV and log burner. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink. First floor:  Master bedroom with 5ft king size bed, high ceilings, Juliet balcony and en suite shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. Bedroom 2 with 3ft twin beds, TV and en suite shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. Bedroom 3 with 3ft twin beds and TV. Family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC.

Large garden including patio area with large picnic bench, 2 loungers and barbecue.

Ample parking for at least 4 cars in private parking area for the property. The parking area is located off a small private lane that runs down the side of the garden (The private lane has a right of way to a private nearby field). 

Included: Bed linen and towels, electricity and oil central heating. Travel cot, high chair and stair gate.  

Pets: Two dogs allowed (more by negotiation). (Pet charge £30.00 per dog per week).

Telephone: Telephone at property for incoming, local outgoing and emergency calls. Mobile reception generally poor. Wi-Fi.

Local facilities: Sandy beach half a mile. Hope & Anchor pub, village shop and post office all within half a mile. Salcombe 4 miles. Kingsbridge with all facilities 5 miles.

We had a wonderful holiday in Lower Court Barn. The overall quality of the accommodation was excellent and the location was fantastic.

Lovely quiet rural location and the barn was very comfortable. Garden not completely secure for dogs when road gate to shared access to fields was open but farmer was very good when we asked to have it kept closed. The barn was very spacious and comfortable - beds were great and showers roomy, very warm, plenty of hot water, and good for days out in South Hams and beyond. Lovely views across the valley. Good dog walk from the property.

We had a lovely stay, excellent location, good walks from the cottage , a great modern barn conversion Provided a DVD box as requested. Good provision for the dogs. Big garden The hose outside was very useful as were the dog blankets. As a winter stay good local facilities at Hope Cove

Lovely property in excellent location. Well equipped, spacious and very comfortable.

Although this is a barn conversion, we felt the property was unfinished and we did not enjoy the stay as a result. On a positive note, we found the bed and pillows very comfortable and of a good quality. As it wasn’t mentioned in the property description, we were surprised that there is a right of way given to and used by the farmer to tend his sheep in the adjoining field.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the property, it is a truly excellent property with a huge garden which was great for our 2 dogs. The house is finished and furnished to a very high standard. if the minor teething issues could be resolved this would be an exceptional holiday rental.
