August 2019

Arrived to see the steps up the house were thick with cobwebs. The carpets are quite marked and the whole place just needed a good clean. Also found the water had obviously been off for days and as we didn't read the book of words immediately ended up with cold bath first night - did use shower but it is pretty basic and also unless used on eco is very difficult to get temperature right. It would have been nice to have at least had some hot water on arrival. The bathroom is really tired and slightly scuzzy. Happy to send you pictures! The outside light switch at the bottom of the stairs was sticky and dirty, the dishwasher had all the lights on suggesting it needed salt and rinse aid but none at the property. We used it without refilling and it definitely marked the glasses so was required. The keys & keyring was rusty.. not a great advert for the property! The kitchen floor covering was the weirdest thing ever.. looks like wood or linoleum but was slightly furry.. not nice. We were aware that this wasn t an expensive property but it just felt that someone had put in random stuff they didnt want.. and perhaps a bit too much of some things for instance there were 3 x chairs and 1 x sofa - as only slept 4 it was not necessary to have quite so many seats in a small space which meant the dining table is tucked under the beams which alas, almost impossible to avoid hitting your head. Both my husband and i hit our heads more than once.. his bled and i got a great big lump! The location was great, the layout good, it was all ok but just a little disappointing as we felt that just a tiny bit of tlc and investment would go a long way. There was information on bin day etc, however it stated that the information as to what to put out when would be on the kitchen wall but it wasnt and it did not mention recycling at all. We didnt realise that our week was recycle week (and there were no bags to use for recycling although all the other properties seemed to have them)

May 2019

We have stayed At MALLARDS many times, since my first visit to Noss in 1946

May 2019

Enjoyed our stay and would visit again

October 2018

We always enjoy Mallards, been going for many years. Entrance needed tidying, lots of cardboard under stairs/weeds. Veranda glass and rubber tiles had algae on them. Obviously end of season so will probably be attended to. Electricity kept tripping, understand that was in hand, and dvd player temperamental.

September 2018

Yes beautiful views lovely comfortable beds an very good towels and bed linen

July 2018

Other than the electrics it was a lovely place to stay, had all we needed. Lovely to have a balcony to sit on as well with views over the estuary.

June 2018

Superb location but we were enveloped in sea mist for 3 days which took the edge off sitting on the balcony

June 2018
