Orchard View is situated in the pretty village of South Pool, this charming property was originally two cottages, now joined together to provide a great base for friends and families to enjoy their holiday. Orchard View has a playroom, lounge with log burner, a small seating area, a kitchen diner and five bedrooms. There is a large paddock with trampoline and adventure playground and parking for three cars, along with two terrace areas for enjoying al fresco meals, and beautiful views across the valley to the church, village and countryside beyond. This is a lovely property to explore this beautiful part of South Devon.

The village of South Pool sits on an inlet of the Kingsbridge and Salcombe Estuary, allowing water access for boating and watersports’ enthusiasts. The popular pub The Millbrook Inn sits in the heart of the village, serving delicious food and hosting events such as The Millbrook Nativity along with live music to accompany your Sunday Roast, and barbecues through the summer. There are a number of scenic walks around the village and the beautiful sandy beaches at East Portlemouth and Millbay, along with the foot ferry to Salcombe are just three miles away. Further beaches are within four miles at Beesands and Torcross, and both these villages have good local pubs, and other popular eateries. A fifteen minute drive will take you to the market town of Kingsbridge, with shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and a cinema. Dartmouth is around thirty minutes away with shops and eateries along with the historic castle and the Royal Naval college. Woodlands leisure park is great for a family day out, and those keen on walking can explore the South West Coast Path nearby and Dartmoor a forty minute drive away. With lots to explore a week may not be long enough.

A really nice spacious cottage in a great location.

The house is large, spacious, and very well equipped. It also has a big garden which would be wonderful in the Spring/Summer/Autumn. South Pool is a wonderful little village which was extra special at Christmas time. The house was perfect for the six adults and six children in our party. The "two sides" upstairs were ideal for 2/3 families - or, in our case, two families of five and two grandparents. The facilities and equipment were excellent, to the extent that we had a superb home cooked Christmas Dinner exactly as we would have at home. And the children's playroom was a real bonus. A real "extra large" home from home.
