Sail Cottage is a delightful fisherman’s cottage in a prime seaside location in the picturesque coastal village of Beesands, South Devon. Wake-up to the sights and sounds of the sea a few yards from the bedroom windows. The cottage has been tastefully decorated throughout, and reflects a sympathetic modernisation, whilst retaining lots of character. Solid oak floors and warm cosy lighting are complemented by the owner’s tasteful nautical theme. An additional feature of this cottage is its charming rear garden. Spend the day exploring the coves of Start Bay via the coastal path which runs directly in front of the cottage; and in the evening stroll a hundred yards to the local pub, or alternatively snuggle up in front of the welcoming wood stove. Beesands retains its fishing heritage, and provides a peaceful location to which enjoy a beach holiday or a base to explore the South Hams coastline.

Please Note that this property will accept a maximum of 4 guests, including children and owing to the layout of the cottage, regretably no children under the age of 6 (including infants).

Front door opens into small porch. Charming beamed sitting room with oak floor, inglenook fireplace with wood-burning stove, sofa, two armchairs, flat screen TV with DVD, Bose radio / CD player. Fitted bookshelf with plenty of fictional / local books and DVDs. Door into modernised but traditionally presented kitchen/ breakfast room with small dining table and shaker style kitchen with Belfast sink, equipped with an electric Everhot range (Rayburn style)with two ovens, grill, hot / simmer plates, fridge with ice box compartment, slow cooker, microwave. August 2019

We loved our stay, our boys particularly enjoyed the fishing and the local pub.

June 2019

Lovely cottage & garden. Very clean & tasteful. If you get any cancellations this year please let me know as I was unable to go last week due to illness, but my partner went & loved it! I would love to get an opportunity to go this year but see it is fully-booked through until November. Regards. Louise Mcknight

June 2019

Hopefully will visit again.

April 2019

Noise from neighbours parties not great at all. Have emailed you separately.

March 2019

So comfortable and relaxing just what I needed, a little pilgrimage, for me after my husband and I spent out last holiday together at Sails cottage just before he passed away from cancer. My third stay at this cottage previously booked by my daughter Tracy Sampson . thank you i will be back. Ann

October 2018

This is the second time we have holidayed in Beesands. We enjoy the location and the unspoilt nature of the South Hams. We were well pleased with Sail Cottage, it had everything you needed to make your stay idyllic in that kind of setting. The only negative was that the immersion developed a fault two nights before departure so we only had tepid 'hot' water. I phoned and left a message on the answerphone about this but did not get a response. There may have been a good reason for this but it was disappointing.

October 2018

possibly for key access - add to get to rear of cottage you need to take the side entrance to left of next door and go through their rear garden

September 2018

really enjoyed being there, as always - we love this place!

September 2018

We knew what to expect from the location, but the cottage exceeded expectations. It was superb. Without doubt the best cottage we have ever stayed in in 30+ years of holidaying in South Devon and elsewhere. The owners deserve huge credit for equipping it to such a high standard.

August 2018

Only gave four for equipment because of oven ,takes so long !

July 2018

It would be helpful to emphasise that, in order to access the rear of the cottage to get the door key, it is necessary to go through the neighbours' garden. I didn't realise that at first and was pretty confused. Perhaps this was mentioned but it didn't sink in!

June 2018

Ideal location and well kitted out cottage and would recommend to anybody and likely to return myself

May 2017

yes we did, the weather unfortunately was not the best, this was offset by both the cooker and the wood burner.

April 2017

Great cottage in fantastic setting. Pegs for line need replacing as we're very brittle and kept breaking

Thank you for your feedback regarding the pegs this will be passed to the owners. Many Thanks The Toad Hall Team.

Lovely cottage, by far the best we have stayed in. The owners have thought of everything - cupboards stocked with jigsaws, books, DVDs, games for the wet days, lovely garden to enjoy the sunshine. Superb
