Description

This charming cottage, located in the picturesque village of Galmpton is just half a mile from the beautiful sandy beaches at nearby Hope Cove. The popular towns of Salcombe, Thurlestone and Kingsbridge are also all within a 10 minute drive. The property, with newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen, has stunning rural views from most rooms and has great outside space and private parking. With a conservatory to make the most of the long summer days and an open fire for keeping cosy on winter nights this property is very well suited for any season of the year.

Ground floor: Lounge with sofa, armchair, open fireplace, TV, DVD player and adjoining conservatory with additional seating. Kitchen with electric cooker and hob, large fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave and dining table to seat 4 to 6 people (extendable). Storage cupboard off hall with tumble dryer. WC under the stairs. First floor: Bedroom 1 with king size bed, large built in wardrobe, hairdryer and en suite bathroom with roll top bath with hand held shower, basin and WC. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Family shower room with large walk in shower cubicle, basin and WC. Second floor: Bedroom 3 with double bed. Bedroom 4 with single bed (with additional truckle bed). Please note the ceiling in bedrooms 3 and 4 are low in places.

Patio immediately in front of property with table and chairs with parasol and bench. Raised decking by parking area with table and chairs and views of the sea across the valley.

For a maximum of 2 cars on private drive.

Included:  Bed linen and towels, electricity and oil central heating. Travel cot, high chair and stair gate.  

Pets: Sorry, no dogs.

Local facilities:  Sandy beach half a mile. Hope & Anchor pub, village shop and post office all within half a mile. Salcombe 4 miles. Kingsbridge with all facilities 5 miles.

Loved this house so much. We had such a peaceful week here, I haven't slept so soundly in years! What a beautiful cottage! Fantastic setting in a quiet village with incredible views, we had lambs at the end of the garden, the children thought it was just brilliant! Gorgeous modern kitchen and bathrooms, the wet room was perfect for washing children down after a day on the beach. All the bedrooms are cosy and the beds super comfortable. I cannot recommend this cottage enough and definitely plan to book again.

Neighbours were very friendly. Other places we stayed at had a selection of leaflets for local attractions. This would be a good idea. It might be worth trying to get a Toad Hall discount for The Cove. We loved it and went several times as well as having a takeaway.
