Seaview is a most comfortable and attractive ground floor cottage, attached on one side to The Downs, an imposing period property, now a group of select apartments, surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and set high above Thurlestone with superb sea and country views from Bigbury Bay round to Thurlestone Sands. The cottage, all on one level, is absolutely ideal as a romantic retreat and for enthusiastic walkers, golfers or beachcombers - the sandy beaches, golf links and the South West coastal path are all within walking distance.

The bedroom has a king size 5ft bed, good views from the window, ample storage space and an en-suite shower room with walk in power shower cubicle, heated towel rail, basin and WC.
Extensive, beautifully maintained communal landscaped grounds of approximately three acres surround the property on all sides. The cottage has its own private patio area with table and chairs. There is access across a neighbouring field to the coastal path, beaches and golf course.

We absolutely love Seaview, hence why we have been staying there for over 20 years. It's great to see that the The Village Inn is serving great food again and would definitely recommend it. The walking from Seaview is amazing - if I could live there I would!
The Views are breathtaking.
Great week. Weather was kind. The views from Seaview are unbeatable
Always enjoy our holidays at Seaview.
We arrived on a cold day and the property relies mainly on a storage heater which had not been fully charged the night before. Consequently it took a while to warm up the property.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the cottage to others (tried to review on trip advisor but couldn't locate it) The property was exceptionally well equipped with everything one could need. It was very comfortable and had amazing sea views. Also has great info on the accommodation and surrounding area. Ps...the goody bag for our pooch was a lovely surprise so thank you.
Looking forward to staying there in 2018 and beyond.
Had a superb week. The views and proximity to wonderful walks are exceptional. The cottage is simple but comfortable and thoughtfully done. Lovely new bathroom; kitchen a bit tired but well stocked. We were lucky in that the other apartments were not full and so we had a very peaceful, delightful time with lots of privacy. Perfect. It's actually much nicer than the photos suggest. Very happy, thanks.
Very much enjoyed our stay. Only had a mini-crisis when the washing machine leaked everywhere on the last afternoon before departure. Looked like one of the last occupants who had used the ironing board had dislodged the waste pipe. However, the caretakers helped get in contact with Toad Hall and the owners who looked to sort it all out.
Always have enjoyed our stays at Seaview Cottage over many years. The views from the Downs are fantastic and the walks great. The updating of the property by the owners is very much appreciated.................especially the wonderful shower!
Although the cleanliness was good, the duvet on the bed was dirty and should have been changed. The caretaker was very good and used one of his own spare duvet for us for the week. He was very helpful, but the owner should have provided a clean replacement.
Many thanks for your feedback which has been passed to the owner. The duvet has been replaced and fresh protectors are being provided. We are pleased that other than this you enjoyed your stay.

This has become our annual retreat with the dogs. The accommodation is ideal and has everything you need. The location is great, escpecially as the dogs are allowed on the beach, can't beat a lovely stroll along the cliff tops and a pint at the end. We'll be back :-)
i WOULDN'T HESITATE TO BOOK WITH TOAD HALL COTTAGES AGAIN. YOU PROVIDE AN EFFICIENT SERVICE THAT ALSO HAS A FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING TOUCH. WE APPRECIATE THE KEY BEING LEFT AT THE PROPERTY FOR US ON ARRIVAL. iT WOULD BE GOOD TO HAVE A TIME FRAME FOR THE RETURN OF THE SECURITY DEPOSIT - IE THE FOLLOWING DAY, DURING THE NEXT WEEK ETC.

Thank you for your feedback.

We have now added a note to the welcome home emails stating when the deposit will be refunded. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we look forward to welcoming you back to the West Country in the future.

What a wonderful position Seaview in Thuirlestone is. A 360 degree panoramic view of beauty. The coastal paths were well maintained and gave access to hidden gems of beaches which nearly all allow dogs too. If there are two of you and a four legged friend, have a liking for coastal paths in the area (we did them all in a week!), Seaview is the perfect cottage. Highly recommended.
Great holiday, easily booked, excellent customer services at Toad Hall Cottages, great communication and instructions. Will definately book through Toad Hall Cottages again.
Wow what a great property, wonderful views out to sea it is stunning. The property was both spotless and comfortable for two adults and two dogs. If you have dogs they will love the nearby beaches and walks. Bentham Beach was our favourite by far. Local pub, village inn is great, the food is fantastic but do book a table as they get very busy just a 3-5 min walk from the property. I was really sad to come home could have stayed there forever, the dogs were very subdued when they got home I think they missed being able to roam outside the property through the patio doors. I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY.
Great property with amazing views. Can quite happily sit there all day just looking at them!
what a wonderful view, round to Hope Cove from the back of the property and Burgh Island onto Plymouth from the front!
