For taste and style, with quality furniture, fittings and fabrics, yet most comfortable and attractive, look no further than Stable Cottage. This elegant converted ground floor  property is one of several unusual traditional stone barns within the prestigious Church Farm development in the heart of Thurlestone village. Attached on one side, Stable Cottage hugs the corner of this square of fine barns and looks towards what were the old milking parlours and the village church. The property has been converted to a high standard using as many of the original features as possible and is particularly enhanced by the high ceilings with exposed trusses and beams throughout. The large French windows flood the rooms with South West sunshine and light, and extend out to the paved patio and lawns edged with low stone walls.

Please Note: This property sleeps up to 8 persons, but is more suitable for a maximum of 6 adults plus 2 children/infants.

“The house was perfect for us. The oldies and tiddles as well as the middlies were catered for. Thank you”  Pride Family.

June 2019

We did enjoy our stay and the house. We didn't use either single room as just four of us, they were a bit smelly and musty so not especially appealing. House was clean, kitchen was well equipped although crockery starting to craze so looking a bit worn. Bedding was excellent, appreciated having sheet and duvet. The 5 pm check is rather late and bit of a pain. We liked the area.

Not sure whether i’ve Put the right Stable Cottage above. We were in Thurlestone. Excellent location but probably noisy in height of summer - close to pub and parked cars. Could have been a bit cleaner and bed linen is very tired.

Many thanks for your valued feedback which we have passed to the owner and cleaner. The location is superb being in the heart of the village but set back and with thick stone walls, it is actually an oasis of calm tucked away in Church Farm and noise has never been commented upon even in the height of the busy summer holidays, as are pleased to report.
