The Granary, a tastefully modernised and refurbished reverse level barn conversion offers guests comfortable 5 Star accommodation close to Kingsbridge and the Salcombe estuary. Situated along a quiet lane at the head of Bowcombe creek, guests will want for nothing. A large, light and airy sitting room opens onto a balcony with lovely countryside views of the valley. A modern kitchen boasts every convenience and 3 luxury bedrooms, all with large en suites ensure that guests will return from holiday fully refreshed.

The Granary is central for all that the South Hams has to offer.  The bustling market town of Kingsbridge is 5 minutes drive and there’s easy access to the estuary from Bowcombe Bridge for those with dinghies or kayaks. Salcombe is less than 7 miles away whilst there are plenty of sandy beaches in the area all within easy driving distance.  For those who like walking there are great country walks nearby and the glorious South West Coastal Path is also well worth experiencing.

Accommodation. From the roadside parking area gravel path to the main entrance. (Alternatively the lower entrance can be accessed by walking down the gravel drive and entering the garden through the gate.)Hallway with oak stairs to the first floor and alternative entrance from the lane. Modern kitchen diner with eye level oven and grill, larder fridge and separate freezer, microwave, oak table and benches to seat 6. Door with steps down to rear garden. Large living room with sofa and armchairs, 42 inch curved TV and DVD. Wood burner effect gas fire. French windows to sunny balcony overlooking the valley with garden table and chairs.  From ground floor hallway utility room with sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. First floor Bedroom 1 with 6ft super king double bed, en suite with walk in shower, hand basin and WC. Ground floor, Bedroom 2 with 3 foot twin beds, (Please ask if a superking is required in this room) dressing area and en suite with walk in shower, hand basin and WC. Bedroom 3 with 5ft king size bed, en suite with free standing bath, hand basin and WC.


Outside: From garden gate decked area with stone steps down to small lawn.  Garden entirely enclosed.

Parking:  Off lane parking for 2-3 cars in the roadside bay adjacent to the property.

Dead flowers in vases and the indoor recycling bins had not been emptied. The beds and towels excellent but the carpets needed a thorough vacuuming,

Great stay in a superb location, extremely comfortable and well equipped, however we felt that the property could have been prepared slightly better with the aid of a cobweb brush!!

We have had a nearly perfect stay in The Granary! A superb Cottage at a very high Standard of furnishing and Equipment in a beautyful landscape nearby the Creek. We will definitely come back to Kingsbridge/Salcombe next year, but maybe in one of the two city centres.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. It was beautiful inside with really comfortable beds and a lovely balcony overlooking countryside. Would recommend this property.
