Despite the wet weather, we had a warm and friendly welcome from the hosts and 'The Grooms' was comfortable, cosy and well equipped. It is peaceful and set in a lovely location, overlooked by their horses and a herd of deer nearby. A perfect place for our winter break. See you again. Frances and Alan
All facilities as advertised.Very hospitable owners.Easy access to forest for walking particularly with dog
Good location lovely local walks in woods enjoyed the Deers close by. Hosts were very friendly
This was our second visit and we should love to stay again. The cottage was a delight, the totally dog proof garden was a joy and all the surrounding New Forest just invited exploration. The owners, Ross and Andrew are such nice people, we felt very welcome as was the lovely lemon drizzle cake and wine. Hope you both enjoyed your sailing and Badminton last weekend!!
The location was ideal, lots of places close by to visit. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed, the welcome was perfect, tea, coffee and beautiful cake together with a bottle of wine cooling in the fridge. The owners were absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful.
The hosts were very friendly but not intrusive. It was nice to be able to walk through the forest to Brockenhurst and to be close to many interesting areas.
We had a lovely holiday lots of walking with our dog. Would like to go back to The Grooms.
Lovely cottage in a perfect location, very friendly hosts, loved our stay here.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners were very friendly which immediately made us feel welcome and relaxed. The position was convenient with nice walks from the cottage for our dog and there was good access to the New Forest and shopping at Brockenhurst and Lymington. We love animals and horses are on site and deer are regular visitors. All in all a lovely holiday.
We had an excellent stay in a beautiful location, very cosy and comfortable cottage with lovely views
Great stay in very good location.
Perfectly well presented and well equipped for our holiday. Very well located for walking, and easy access to all routes. The owners are very hospitable and the views from the accomodation are lovely. Will return.
We had a lovely short break at the Grooms cottage with our hearing dog in training. The kitchen is very well equipped for self catering and the location is perfect for accessing the forest. The owners are very friendly and welcoming.
Had an amazing week at The Grooms. The accommodation was perfect in every way. We really felt at home in the cozy accommodation and beautiful surroundings, especially being horsey people ourselves. Ross and Andrew are fantastic hosts who really made us feel welcome. Tod the dog loved it too with the beautiful walks just on the doorstep. Loved it so much we have re booked for next year.
This was a lovely cottage in a great spot. We saw deer, wild ponies, rabbits and a wide range of birds from the property. The owners were helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our children very much enjoyed our holiday there.
Excellent accommodation, very well set up with thought to the guests requirements, including the dogs. It is in an excellent location to explore the forest and nearby villages, yet peaceful and relaxing surrounded by wildlife.
The owners were so lovely we had a great time and will definitely be back!
Lovely cottage, lovely owners and great location for walking/cycling straight into the forest.
We were made to feel very welcome at The Grooms
Beautiful location, lots of lovely villages nearby, owners were so friendly and helpful, will definitely be going back.
Very impressed with our property
Very welcoming hosts in Ross and Andrew. Accommodation faultless, comfortable and warm. Good quality furniture and fitments, we wanted for nothing. Both gardens 99.9% enclosed for our dog Snoops, he worked at the other .1%, given another week he might have found a way! Wonderful area, so much to do or just sit in the lovely gardens and watch Paddy and Coco, Ross's two horses.
Very friendly and helpful owners, cottage expertly maintained. All requirements catered for. Would definitely recommend this holiday home.
One of the best cottages we have used over many years!
We had a wonderful time and a warm welcome given to us by Ross and her homemade cakes. The grooms is a clean well fitted and central place to stay. The garden is well fenced and kept our giant puppy safe.
