August 2019

We have been to Noss Mayo on a number of occasions and thoroughly enjoy our stays. A disappoint during this stay was the realization that the property that was attached to ours was going through a period of renovation. This meant that in the early morning workmen would arrive and be loud and sometimes shouting to each other. This did not effect the persons on the ground floor as much, but those that were on the top level were woken by the noise which, with two young children also with them, caused disruption from a well deserved break. Also there was drilling and general construction noise in the early morning. for example on one occasion the drilling started at around 08.30, waking up the house and only after a brief period stopped again which was very frustrating as the whole house was then awake. We reported the construction noise to yourselves at the time and how disappointed we were with it. I am not sure the name of the person my wife spoke to, who though very apologetic, did not really offer us a solution. The call taker stated that they were not aware that any construction work was going on which was a surprise as within the guest book there had been a mention, from previous occupants, about the construction work and the noise which had disrupted their holiday too. I appreciate that the area is well sought after by holiday makers and the developers and the property owner have to maximize their time when work needs to be carried out. Overall the holiday was good and we are likely to return again but my family, and the other family we were with, were left a bit disappointed with the disruption and feel somewhat misled that there was no prior disclosure or warning that there was work going on to what is a semi detached house. I can be contacted if you require any further information and look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Mr N WARWICK

Yes, very much, super location, great outside seating at property, cracking views, 2 great pubs in the village and 1 in Newton Ferrers. Lots of lovely local walks, plenty of other goodies easily accessed by car, or Plymouth by bus.

Very enjoyable stay thank you.

August 2016

Our week at the Haven was perfect. The house is immaculately finished and has incredible views across the creek. The Swan (5 min walk) is outstanding for both food and drink and Noss Mayo/Newton Ferrers are idyllic fishing villages. Plymouth is in easy reach as are other attractions like The Eden Project. Highly recommended – and we'll definitely be back!
