Set back from the pretty lane that winds down to Bantham beach, one of Devon's most popular surfing destinations, The Wilderness, a large four bedroomed property is at one end of an attractive group of barn conversions, with far reaching views across the beautiful Devonshire countryside. Thoughtfully presented to a high standard in a fresh, contemporary style, accommodation is arranged on three floors with bedrooms above and below the large ground level living room and kitchen.  The Wilderness, named after the wild flowering garden which used to surround it, provides a comfortable and superbly placed base for families or groups of friends wishing to enjoy a prime South Hams location.

Please Note: The rear lawned garden is fully enclosed. Outside of this, young children should be supervised as there are low walls in places and steps that could be a hazard.

Ground floor open plan living area: Lounge with sofas and armchairs, flat screen TV and DVD, bookshelves with books and games. Dining area to seat eight.  Kitchen with electric hob, oven, microwave, integrated fridge plus a secondary fridge, dishwasher. Cloakroomand door to rear fully enclosed garden.  Open tread stairs lead to first floor:  Bedroom 1:Master bedroom with 5ft king size bed with wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2: Twin 3ft single beds, chest of drawers and hanging hooks.  Bathroom, shower over bath, basin and WC. Lower ground floor. Bedroom 3: Twin 3ft single beds with built in wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 4: 3ft single bed with pull-out truckle bed beneath, chest of drawers and built in wardrobes. Bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC. Lower entrance hall/ boot roomwith washing machine, freezer and butler’s sink.

Fully enclosed area of garden to rear with garden furniture, barbecue and fire pit. Sloping lawns, shrubs and hedges surround the property with steps leading down to the courtyard and parking area. 

Up to two designated parking spaces on courtyard at lower ground level. Further parking and space for boat/trailer on grass driveway.

  • Included: Included: Bed linen (not towels), travel cot, high chair, stairgate, telephone (for incoming and local calls), electricity and central heating (air source heat pump) Wifi. Towels may be hired from an independent local company, please enquire for details.

The Wilderness was one of the best rental properties that we have ever stayed in with regards equipment and information provided...... The owners had thought of everything and it made our stay so much more pleasurable.... A lovely property and one that I would highly recommend. We will be back!
