Adjacent to the 9th green on Thurlestone Golf Course is Thorpe Arnold Minor, a reverse-level portion of this detached and welcoming family property which has been extended to make two self contained houses sleeping 8 people in each. Enjoying quite outstanding views over the coastline, the open sea and the golf links, there are spacious lawned gardens to the front and rear of the property and parking for six cars. The magnificent views can be enjoyed from the living rooms and most bedrooms and the sandy beaches and the centre of the village are within easy walking distance.

Ground floor: Bedroom 1: Twin bedroom with 3ft zip link beds, built in wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2: Second ground floor twin bedroom with 3ft single beds, chest of drawers. Family bathroom with bath and hand held shower, plus shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Steps up to large utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. First floor : Open plan living room beautifully furnished with large sofas and armchairs, flat screen TV/DVD, patio doors to balcony,steps lead from balcony down to terraced patio area and lawns beyond.  Dining area with dining table  to seat eight.  Attractive fitted kitchen equipped with built in electric oven and ceramic hob, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Bedroom 3: Twin bedroom with 3ft single beds, chest of drawers and hanging hooks. En suite bathroom with bath and handheld shower, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Second floor: Bedroom 4: Master bedroom with superking size bed  (zip linked beds, can be split, please ask at time of booking) sea views.  En suite shower room with shower cubicle, heated towel rail, basin and WC. 

Thorpe Arnold Minor has a private sea facing first floor balcony with wooden steps leading down to a private terraced patio area with garden furniture. Further steps lead down to large lawns which stretch out beyond, both at the front and the back of the property, shared by both properties. 

Ample parking in the drive.

  • Included:  Bed linen, (not towels), travel cot, high chair, electricity and heating (night storage) Wifi. (towels may be hired from an independent hire company - details from Toad Hall Cottages.)
  • Pets: 1 well mannered dog welcome (garden shared and not dog proof). Pet Charge: £30.00 per pet per week.

  • Local facilities: Beaches: Cowrie beach 5 minutes walk. Beaches at Thurlestone Sands approximately 10 minutes walk. Village Inn and Post Office/shop 400 metres. Golf Club half mile (course adjacent to garden and immediately accessible).Pay to play (handicap required).

Yes we very much enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for times when there were just 2 of us and when there were 7. We walked the coast path, swam in the sea, played golf and enjoyed the spectacular views including some amazing sunsets. Even the disco music next door on the first night turned out to be fun, we were dancing on the balcony!

We absolutely loved being there and will definitely return. We had a look at Major while there and that looked really nice as well so we would happily stay at either.

We have stayed at Minor and/or Major several times as we love the fabulous location with the beautiful sea views, stunning evening sunsets and close proximity to the coast path, beaches and village. The new interior of the recently refurbished Thorpe Arnold Minor is lovely (although we were quite happy with the 'old' look) and the provision of bed linen is a big bonus. We also think the addition of the steps down from the balcony to the new terraced area is a great asset although we did not make use of it in late September, despite some warm, sunny days. Access to Wifi also a huge advantage. Looking forward to our visit next year already!
