Warren Cottage originally a large house is now divided into two and is situated in an absolutely outstanding and unique position on the waters edge at Warren Point opposite Noss Mayo. For those looking for an adventurous and outdoor holiday on the water this is an ideal property. The views are totally spectacular, particularly from the half mile unmade farm track with gates that lead down to the cottage. There is an 11ft rowing boat for the use of guests at their own risk (lifejackets not provided). The property is comfortably but simply and practically furnished and also has its own boat house (shared with owners). An evening row across the estuary to reach the waterside pubs in Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers can be great fun, but watch the tide! This is truly a lovely setting and the cottage has wonderful scenic views over the water from most rooms. There is no TV reception.
Please Note: If you are not one of Warren Point Cottages’ many previous guests, due to its idiosyncrasies it is essential that you speak to Toad Hall Cottages prior to booking.
The property is mainly situated over the boat house, and is therefore on the first floor. Dual aspect south/east facing open plan room divided by an archway. Sitting room area with fireplace inset with electric wood burner, small sofa and armchairs, stripped pine floor with rugs, French doors to balcony overlooking the estuary. CD/cassette player. Kitchen/dining area with pine dresser, table and chairs, fitted kitchen, electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge (no freezer or icebox), (no washing machine). Double bedroom 4ft 6in with ample hanging space. Twin bedroom (3ft beds) with basin, (no hanging cupboard). Both bedrooms have a chest of drawers. Bathroom with bath, shower, basin and WC.
Areas of lawn and garden. Fairly steep grass footpath leads to the cottage (50 yards).
Beside the gate at entrance to property (100 yds).
- Included: Bed linen (not towels), WiFi, heating (night storage) and electricity
- Telephone: With honesty box.
- Pets: One well behaved dog welcome (pet charge £25.00 per week).
- Local Facilities: Estuary beach below the cottage. Shop 1.5 miles at Wembury. Pub across the water.
This is a truly fabulous location and the property has some really attractive aspects (outside balcony and use of rowing boat) that make it very enjoyable.
had the loveliest time,so pretty ,could not have had a better view.loved being able to use the rowing boat that was provided to go to local shops and pubs across river.lovely coastal walks
It was excellent, thank you, and we would thoroughly recommend it.
Yes we enjoyed our stay. A wonderful area with the cottage in a prime location. Located on a National Trust public path with many coastal paths.
The situation of this cottage is just out standing, the views from all of the living area and one of the bedroom are truly amazing. The constant changing boats and fishing people are very entertaining and just sitting on the balcony watching, makes you feel part of it all. The cottage location is well worth the drive to get there. The row to the pub at Noss Mayo,in the boat provided,is great fun.But watch those tides. We had a lovely time. thank you.
Dreadful weather but still the most beautiful spot in the world in my option!! I will be back again! A friend came to visit and she has already booked the Cottage for her 25th wedding anniversary in October!
A stunning location and although we were fine with the access, the difficulty of this should have more reference in the cottage description.
An ideal location and position having had the perfect weather that we enjoyed
Really nice cottage in a truly wonderful location. Very friendly and helpful owners. We will return and hopefully there will be some clothes washing facilities and a larger bed! Many thanks for a fantastic week
