Formerly a granary, Yeoman’s Cottage, attached on one side of a lovely thatched Devon longhouse, is situated at the end of a no-through road at the head of a 12 acre beautiful, hidden valley edged with trees and where a former cider orchard with ornamental trees slopes down to two ponds naturally fed by local springs. The area is a natural habitat for ducks, moorhens, herons and a Preservation Area for the Cirl Bunting. In the distance the heights of Salcombe can be seen, but all that can be heard is the sound of birdsong, a magical and very peaceful spot. The cottage has been well restored, is centrally heated, comfortably furnished with lovely views from the main rooms and is a true hideaway in this secluded hollow, ideal for a small family or couples who want to get away from it all. The sea at North Sands and South Sands is only a mile by footpath and Salcombe a mile further. Walking is spectacular whatever the season, over cliffs, headlands and woodland owned by the National Trust. A welcoming bottle of wine is provided on arrival.
Please note: This property is for a maximum of 3 people (including infants).

We had a lovely time. Such a beautiful spot and everything we needed in the cottage with home comforts. We hope to visit again.
A true gem, an excellent hideaway to unwind!
Wonderful, off the beaten track, all helped to make a wonderful relaxing break. Woul definately recommend this cottage.
A wonderful place to stay would not hesitate to return when we next visit the South Hams. Peace & quiet, stunning view's & very cosy.
We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfortable. We appreciated the laundry /boot room entrance. Lovely view and plenty of places to visit. Footpath to Salcombe was convenient. Luckily we brought our e-bikes because it is very hilly but do-able.
Great cottage in a quiet location but within easy access of Salcombe. We loved the views down the valley. The cottage was perfect for two and comfortably furnished. There are some great walks from the cottage although you definitely need a car to make the most of the area. We had excellent meals at the Crab Shed in Salcombe and at the Wild Artichokes pop up restaurant at East Portlemouth.
Yes, it was in a lovely location.
We enjoyed a lovey week at Yeoman's Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed. We often have self-catering holidays and this is one of the best properties we have stayed in. The owners, who were on site while we were there, were very attentive and helpful.
We had a really nice holiday and enjoyed staying in such a peaceful location.
We enjoyed our stay, Yeoman's cottage is in a beautiful setting, peaceful. It needs some work as above, one irritation was the labelling of washing up liquid/ handsoap dispensers ! Brighter lighting found it difficult to read.
Many thanks for your feedback and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. In response to the feedback the owner has confirmed that they will be adding additional lighting to the property.

Wonderful cottage, really really enjoyed. So lovely and peaceful, just what we needed. Cannot fault yeomans Cottage - did not want the week to end.
Fabulous property! View absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful n quiet. We found the walks a little too steep for us in our 60s but we used it as a base to travel round the area using the car n still had an Excellent holiday! It was recommended by a friend n we wd definitely recommend it to others. I also have back problems n the mattress was ideal n very comfortable! Thank you very much to all concerned for an excellent break.
The information regarding local supermarkets was a bit negative and could do with updating. We were very pleased with the local Co-Op at the petrol station and with Morrisons a few miles away in Kinsgbride.
Sorry about that. We'll ask the owner to update the information. There's also a very good Tesco supermarket a little further on from Morrisons in Kingsbridge as well as a Tesco Superstore in Lee Mill Ivybridge about 30 minutes drive away. Glad to see though that you had an enjoyable holiday.

probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in
Yeomans cottage & it's location was superb we will certainly consider booking it again.
Yeomans Cottage was a fantastic cottage in a brilliant location.
A lovely cottage in a delightful position. Very clean and well equipped.
The whole experience booking with Yeamans was seamless. It was a fantastic experience I can't wait to repeat. Having looked through the visitor book at Yeomans Cottage I can see why people keep returning.
Yeoman's Cottage is a perfect spot for a relaxing break. The owners are incredibly helpful, the cottage is very well equipped and really comfortable. We visited with our 4 year old boy and the property was very family friendly. Just 5 mins drive from the lovely beaches at North and South Sands and 10 mins from Salcombe it is a great base to explore the surrounding area from. Would highly recommend Yeoman's Cottage.
Yeomans Cottage was of a very high standard, as usual for Toad Hall Cottages.
This is our fourth visit to this lovely cottage and we think the owners are to be highly commended on the high quality of amenities provided. Thank you for the wine and flowers which was very much appreciated.
We have had a lovely week in your homely cottage. The location is beautiful and SO quiet. The whole area has spectacular scenery and numerous beautiful hidden coves. Cottage contains everything we could ask for. We will definitely come back again.
Yeoman's Cottage is a wonderful property for a couple, and is in an absolutely beautiful setting.
