With an irresistible laid back, beachy atmosphere, panoramic sea views, clear turquoise waters and a huge sweep of white sand, a holiday in Sennen is one you’ll never forget. Set on Cornwall’s wild west coast, Sennen feels enchantingly remote.

Holidays in Sennen allow you to enjoy Cornwall at its very best - this coastal village is pared back, relaxed and all about its stunning surroundings. There’s a little harbour filled with a handful of small fishing boats, bringing back their daily catch to fill the menus of Sennen’s beachside cafes and pubs, and a smattering of small shops and independent art galleries.

Salty hair and sandy toes are the order of the day here, with Sennen Cove on your doorstep. Whether you’re a sunbather, sandcastle builder or surfer, there’s plenty of space for everyone on the bright white sand. Facing the Atlantic swell, Sennen is a great surf spot, and there are local surf schools where beginners can book lessons. The bright blue water is sure to tempt you in for a swim, and there’s seasonal lifeguard cover to keep you safe.

You can end your day at the beach watching the rolling waves with a cold Cornish cider in hand on the terrace of The Old Success Inn, a great pub on the edge of the sand, before visiting the fish and chip shop (or the vegan version from Vood Bar) and heading back to your holiday cottage with a fresh fish supper.

Set on the most westerly coast of the country, the scenery surrounding Sennen is raw, rugged and beautiful, and the best way to experience it is on foot along the cliff top trails of the South West Coast Path. During your coastal rambles, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and, according to local legends, mermaids too!

Only one mile away from Sennen is Land’s End, mainland Britain’s most westerly point and one of the country’s most famous attractions. A must when on holiday in Sennen - or even in Cornwall - visit Land’s End for the obligatory family photo next to the iconic signpost.

From here you can walk further still to the almost tropical beach at Porthcurno and the spectacular cliffside amphitheatre, the Minack Theatre. During your holiday, you’ll also be able to visit Penzance, the fairytale island castle St Michael’s Mount in Marazion, Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth museum in St Ives, Mousehole’s picturesque old harbour (and come December, its famous Christmas lights) and Geevor Tin Mine, all only a short drive away from Sennen.

Discover Cornwall’s beautiful, laid back yet wild west coast when you book a holiday in Sennen.

I have been visiting Land's End since 1969 - the area has been truly spoiled now it has the attractions. It used to be so peaceful with beautiful, natural surroundings - just as nature intended. The attractions have now completely ruined the area which is most disappointing. We have started visiting during the evening time only, when the attractions are closed, to try and see Land's End during it's 'quiet time'. Unfortunately, I doubt we will be visiting again - our family visited in a total of 3 cars and we were charged £6 each to park for one hour!!!!! Woulldn't mind if the car park was in good condition but it's a wreck!!!!

Rather a disappointment. Very commercial.

Porthcurno was where the first international telegraph cable was brought ashore 150 years ago, and this fascinating museum charts the stratospheric advances in global communications since that time.  Once a WW2 underground telegraph station, there are exhibits to enchant all ages plus a cafe and shop.

Visited here to watch Seth Lakeman twice over his 4 concert weekend. We had a fantastic time - both concerts were excellent made all the more amazing by the Minack Theatre and it's beautiful surroundings. The Minack is a fantastic venue for music events, we have been to quite a few concerts there and always had a good time. The Minack staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Parking is excellent, again with very friendly helpful staff. Furthermore, the gardens at the Minack are stunning and are well worth a visit.
