Anning Road Studio is a self-contained, all on one level, studio annex conveniently located in a residential road just five minute's level walk from the seafront, shops and other amenities in the unspoilt and delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis in West Dorset.   Attached to the welcoming owners' home, the annex provides modern, good quality holiday accommodation for couples and comprises a bed/sitting room, a newly fitted shower room and a separate kitchen area. This is an ideal base for those who don't plan to be doing lots of cooking while on holiday particularly as the town includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. The kitchenette has a two ring hob with small oven, toaster and kettle that will suit many guests preparing breakfasts and simple meals but serious cooks need to be aware of the limited options. The bed/sitting room includes a double bed and a two-seater sofa. Outside there is a sunny patio area with table and chairs and access to an allocated off-road parking space.

With its sandy beach and seafront promenade, Lyme Regis is a wonderful location for couples looking for a traditional seaside break. There are a wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award winning museum, a small theatre and a cinema. For the more adventurous, the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliffe between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. For those planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town. 

A few steps down to private entrance door opening to: Entrance hallway with coat/boot space and washing machine. Kitchenette with two ring hob, small oven and fridge. Shower room with shower cubicle and WC (please note there is one step up in the shower room). Open plan bed/sitting room including 2 seater sofa, TV, dining table for two and double bed, door to rear access.

 At the rear, small patio area with furniture.

Yes we did enjoy our stay, the owners of the Studio were very accommodating, including a small cream tea on arrival which was a very welcoming touch.

Excellent in every respect. Essentials of tea, coffee, milk & fruit all supplied & really nice touch of scones jam & cream awaiting us on arrival. Ideally located with easy access to beach, shops & restaurants - highly recommended.

The provision of plate of scones, cream and jam and a bowl of fruit was very much appreciated. Bearing in mind that it is a studio it was comfortable and well equipped it was also very well maintained. Whilst it was known that it was sited in a back garden the actual location in a large housing estate was unexpected and disappointing .

Thank you for the excellent feedback. Whilst the annex is connected to the owners house in a popular residential area of Lyme Regis it is only 5 minutes walk to the town centre and seafront promenade and beach. With all the amenities so close by the annex is a great location. The owner has provided some very nice outdoor furniture and BBQ for guests this year as well.

Perfect property for two people who like to eat out. Close to sea front, bars & restaurants etc. Very clean and well laid out. Would recommend this studio, we hope to return.

This studio was excellent, nicely furnished & equipped, spotlessly clean & in a good location just a 5 minute walk to the shops, restaurants & beach. There were fresh flowers and a welcoming cream tea, fruit & milk when we arrived. Highly recommended.
