Had a great time

February 2017

A beautiful place with glorious view and ideally located for some great Dartmoor walks. We had a wonderful week at Beckaford Cottage and would love to stay here again on our next trip to Dartmoor.

After staying at Toad Hall Cottages in the past I can rest assured knowing my chosen cottage will be to the highest standard and very good price. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely holiday. Will definitely book with Toad Hall Cottages again. The cottage was lovely and the location superb. Cannot fault anything about the holiday at all. Thank you.

December 2015

Well equipped, clean cottage in a beautiful location. We have enjoyed a fantastic week sea fishing in Salcombe, swimming in the sea at Bigbury, visiting the zoo at Paignton, and even managed a hack across the morrs

December 2015

A lovely relaxing week. Beautiful views, lots of long walks and plenty of fresh air. Thanks so much, just what was needed.

April 2015

A perfect homely cottage set in a stunning area. The owners were lovely, giving our son a wonderful opportunity to help feed the lambs, groom the horse and generally be part of such a friendly environment. The welcome pack of flowers, cake, fruit and tea was more than we had expected and delicious. Our son was also delighted to discover that the Easter bunny also lives on Dartmoor! I am sure we will visit again, thank you for a lovely holiday.

It is what it is - a lovely quaint cottage in the back end of Manaton on the top of Dartmoor. If you want the Ritz, and bustle, then go to London. If you want seclusion, in a house that fits within its environment, that is comfortable, warm, and cosy give it a try. Only uber-townies who can't live without dual carriageways and can't abide the countryside are likely to be disappointed.

Agreat relaxing week, just what we both needed

September 2014

Lovely Place. Spent a week there as a family with two adults and young children. Despite rainy weather keeping us inside at times we found the space was ample and the view from upstairs a delight. The hosts were helpful and courteous at all times, with a nice warm welcome. Plenty to do in the area. Many thanks

Beckaford Cottage is by far our favourite holiday cottage so far. Clare and Chris give you a wonderful welcome with a vase of flowers, a bowl of fruit, tea and cake and a pint of milk in the fridge. The fire is also made up ready for you to get cosy in the comfy settee. The location is fabulous - we love it there and plan to return many times.
