The new chalet provides a cosy and attractive holiday home from which guests can also enjoy the Monet inspired garden and delight in the peace and tranquility of a rural backdrop. The chalet is located at the end of a quiet lane in the grounds belonging to the owner.  Bridport with its local amenities is a short walk from the village along with its harbour at West Bay, famous as the setting of the television series Broadchurch, reachable by foot via the local footpath or a short car journey.  Other popular destinations such as Weymouth or Lyme Regis can be accessed easily by car.  This location is a perfect base from which to explore Dorset's coast and countryside. The famous swannery and botanical gardens in the village of Abbotsbury is a short drive away. Nearby Burton Bradstock has a beach as well as the very popular Hive Beach Cafe which is set on the impressive eighteen mile long stretch of Chesil beach, which runs from Portland to West Bay.  Slightly further afield is the popular seaside town of Charmouth where you will find the Jurassic Heritage Centre.  There is easy access to the South West Coast Path which runs along this stretch of stunning coastline and the region offers opportunities for fossil hunting, walking, fishing and many other activities.

July 2017

The property, location and setting was exactly perfect for my wife, myself and our small dog.

July 2017

We loved the peaceful location. We were a bit further from amenities than we expected but we found the shortcut to the pub so were fine.

June 2017

Whilst there is private parking, access is via a narrow road and an inclined compact driveway. This space is shared by holidaymakers staying at Little Blossoms, so parking is made easier if you have a small/medium sized vehicle. Possibly make reference to this in the brochure/online advertisement. Generally we had a really good stay, in a beautiful area of Dorset, and the weather was also fairly kind. The fresh milk, bread, cake and dog treat were a nice touch.

May 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The chalet was as we expected. Beautifully quiet, with birds singing. The host introduced himself, and gave good advice etc. We had a lovely surprise of, bread, milk, and a Dorset apple cake, which was delicious. Even a biscuit bone for our dog, which we thought was a lovely gesture. The garden was lovely. Would certainly recommend it, and we hope to visit again in the future.

September 2016

We have used Toad hall for several years now. We have always found that the four and five star accomodation that we book is has met(or even surpassed) our expectations.

September 2016

Derek and Di were brilliant hosts: they were incredibly welcoming and gave us great information about the locality and the garden.., , and also cuttings and encouraged us to help ourselves to seeds! Thus going above and beyond the sort of help you might expect. This personal touch, and enthusiasm, was invaluable and made our frst wedding anniversary so extra special...Many many thanks, we hope to return.
