Set deep in the Cornish countryside, yet only one mile from the village of Lanivet, this splendid spacious cottage provides a peaceful and stylish retreat away from the bustle of daily life, with plenty of space and character . The owners have achieved a fantastic job in marrying old with new, such as the traditional slate flooring in the modern kitchen along with the plush carpets, granite worktops, and comfy soft furnishings. Lanivet is the geographical centre of Cornwall, so this beautiful property is perfectly placed to enjoy the various interest that Cornwall has to offer. Guests can visit the thriving village pub, or indeed Lanhydrock which is a mere 3 miles away.

We all enjoyed our break at 'The Cottage' which is in quiet yet excellent area for visiting many attractions & places in Cornwall. It is only a few minutes drive into Lanivet for a local shop, pub & a very good fish & chip restaurant/take away. The owners are very helpful & have made this accommodation into a comfortable home with everything that you need & we can certainly recommend a stay here.
We loved almost everything about this property, the only thing that let it down was the walk in shower in the master bedroom. It looked the bees knees however the water pressure was so poor it barely qualified as a shower. We did mention this to the owners on departure who said they would look into it. Unfortunately this would stop us booking this property again as it is an essential requirement when we are selecting a property for mobility reasons unless rectified.
We are very glad you enjoyed this delightful property, the owner is very grateful for letting them know about the shower pressure, I am glad to inform you that the shower has now been altered for future guests. Thank you

We had a fabulous week at the Cottage just outside of Linavet, allegedly the very centre of Cornwall. The owners are very helpful and welcoming - the cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch especially after hours stuck in traffic! They have ensured the cottage has everything you could possibly want in a home away from home and have equipped it to a very high standard. The cottage is ideally located to adventure throughout Cornwall; we visited local Bodmin Jail, Jamaica Inn, and Golitha Falls; Tintagel and Padstow (try Rick Steins fish, it is stunning!) to the north, Lands End and even went in search of Doc Martin in Port Isaac and Poldark in Charlestown. A very lovely holiday indeed.
