Holidays in Marazion are truly magical. Where else can you follow in the footsteps of a legendary giant and cross a cobbled causeway to a little island complete with fairytale castle?

Set on the sparkling waters of Mount’s Bay, Marazion is an attractive old town, thought to be one of the oldest in the UK. With panoramic views that stretch from the Lizard to Land’s End, bright turquoise waters and a stunning sandy beach, it’s no surprise that Marazion is such a popular holiday destination.

Here you can spend lazy summer days on the soft sands of Marazion beach, with its unbeatable views, safe swimming waters and seasonal lifeguard cover. The beach is brilliant for building sandcastles, sailing, kite surfing, SUPing or simply sitting with an ice cream in the gentle sea salty breeze.

Of course, no holiday in Marazion is complete without crossing the crystal clear waters of Mount’s Bay to St Michael’s Mount. You can hop on a ferry, or at low tide can follow the causeway across to the island, the legendary home of Cormoran the giant. Explore the sub tropical gardens, follow medieval pathways and climb up to the castle.

Mount’s Bay is abundant with wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for playful pods of dolphins, seals and giant basking sharks gliding through the water. If you’re a keen twitcher, visit Marazion Marsh Nature Reserve.

Back in the town, the pretty streets and waterfront are filled with cafes, old Cornish pubs, restaurants and ice cream parlours. Take your time to browse the art galleries, gift shops and boutiques, then learn all about the town’s fascinating history at Marazion Museum.

The best way to explore the stunning surroundings is by foot. Follow the South West Coast Path to Porthleven, stopping at picture-perfect Prussia Cove enroute, or to Penzanze in the opposite direction. If cycling is more your thing, you can hire bikes in Marazion and discover West Cornwall at your own pace.

If you can tear yourself away from this lovely town, you’ll find plenty of Cornwall’s most iconic places to visit within an easy drive (or walk for those feeling energetic!). Stand at Britain’s most westerly point at Land’s End, explore the art galleries and cobbled streets of St Ives, search for pirates in Penzance or catch a show at the Minack Theatre, an impressive amphitheatre perched on the cliff face. Discover the hidden coves of the Lizard Peninsular, Sennen Cove and the tropical sands of Porthcurno. Book a winter holiday in Marazion to watch stormy seas crash into Porthleven, see the famous Christmas lights in Mousehole harbour and join in the popular New Year festivities on the streets of St Ives.

From family summer holidays by the sea, to romantic festive getaways, a holiday in Marazion is one you’ll never forget.

Parking for two cars on the pavement (owned by property) at front and an additional 2 spaces on the drive at the end of the garden.
